Craig Grainger showed my party around in December 2014. It was one of the best days of my life to have been in that building. I wish I could have gone in whilst it was operational.

I was Nolly's make-up artiste and hair stylist and so sad to see the studio pulled apart. What a waste for this studio, I remember all the shows we did there and the good times we had. I think about Nolly all the time and what a good friend she was to me and I to her. So glad she didn't see this it would have broken her heart. Alexandra Wolf.

What sad lost to a good purpose tv studio, End of Era, Same thing is happening to the Old LWT/Thames tv Studio on the Southbank in London Scaffolding has just been put up as the old building being demolished to make way for shops and apartment. Great send off with the ATV Jingle.

I'm very sad that there knocked down ATV/ central television studio in Birmingham there done crossroads the golden shot family fortune ATV today central news tiswas school programme bullseye and central weekend live the light went off of central television studio in 1997 it moved to Nottingham studio 😥

I guess it lasted longer than those studios in Nottingham. The money that went into them and then sold off to Nottingham University. And now with the exception of Yorkshire every studio complex gone or ready for demolition. And now the LWT studios.

Demolition of ATV studios in Birmingham. Sad to see its demolition surely it could still have been put to good use within the industry. there are so many different channels and broadcasters making programmes now than there has ever been. But when some one gets a regeneration "brainwave " particularly a group of councillors and a friendly development company, no building however famous or well known stands a chance without a preservation order in place. What a waste of an iconic building. ATV made me watch itv as a network with a proud history of shows from the 1950s until the early 80s from both London and Birmingham. Whether local, national or international with ITC. Now itv is a shadow of its former self and is bland, dull, boring and unrecognisable. Welcome to the future. Lew Grade would turn in his grave if he saw this all those years ago. 😢
