Dayton 3C614A 20" Reversible 3-Speed Whole House Window Fan

A Dayton 20" 3-speed reversible whole house window fan model 3C614A. I believe the internals of this unit are very comparable, if not identical to, the Sears branded one I have. This also carries the "Galaxy by Lasko" branding. I believe this was manufactured by the Vernco. The motor is likely made by Emerson. One of, if not the most, powerful window fans ever made.

I remember at kindergarten they had this fan in the cafeteria running 24/7 this looks very nostalgic

Vernco was not around anymore by the time this fan was made, so these were all Lasko all the way. Vernco was bought by Emerson in 1979, who continued to manufacture Vernco's portable fan line until 1985 when they sold that division to Robeson. I can imagine that back in the mid 80s, Lasko somehow got their hands on the molds and tooling to make these blades. Either Robeson didn't want it or Lasko offered Emerson some money to not sell it to Robeson, but either way, everything on this fan is Lasko except for the motor, which I believe is made by Goldstar

Good video bro on the Dayton 20" reversible whole room window fan that was made by Vernco those are my favorites especially the start-up sound these are not bad considering it's quiet and powerful usually these blades are deteriorated

Wow that's an impressive fan lol! Very cool! I don't entirely believe that it could out do a belt drive window whole house window fan, especially some of the larger ones, but I'm sure that's as good as it gets for a direct drive model! I actually have a belt drive Kenmore window fan that is similar to some of the Homarts out there, I really should do a video on it soon, it's a pretty neat one! That's too bad about the blades, hopefully yours is still good!
