It is a very nice place to stay while on the beach in SC.. I am an older adult and do very much appreciate the Older look and the solid fixtures. Believe it or not: Some of the Older Places where built to last and withstand the hurricanes that come there way. True Story: I met a lady that was staying in DH while Hurricane Matthew came thru. " said she was on the 5th floor. The bldg. swade some due to the high wind. But the Hotel Stayed intact. Still Some things in life can withstand high winds and still age Graceful.

Absolutely gorgeous! Astonishing every night you will be living in a movie! Quite literally looks like a scene from a movie or a tropical resort! It would be fun to stay there just for vacation but to live there would be like staying at Disneyland everyday! That is super awesome! Kind of like a dream but in reality. Lucky! Yep, we stayed here just for the weekend to look for places to live. We still have not figure out exactly where we will live long term. We booked an Airbnb beach house rental in North Myrtle Beach to buy us some time to find a place more long term. I am looking forward to being near the beach everyday. Love the vibe. Great job of giving an overview of the Dayton. We've been going to Myrtle Beach every year (except 2020) for years, and have stayed at several different places. However, The last few times we've stayed at the Dayton. Headed back this week!

Yeah, that is a bummer. We booked a beach house in North Myrtle Beach for 6 weeks starting April 11. Looking forward to steping out into the sand each day.

it looked nice and you said it was affordable, what was the Cons to make you say you would not stay there again? it put you right on the beach and had a beach view, it was older and not stylishly decorated but was livable for a weekend, would the price be much higher during peak season? Yes, the price would probably be higher during peak season unless you find a deal through SnapTravel or another company like that. I wouldn't deter anyone else from staying at the Dayton House. I personally wouldn't stay there again because there are so many other resorts to test out and this one didn't blow me away to the point I would choose to stay there instead of experiencing something new. Nice place. I agree about the ocean view, they should really redesign the rooms in respect to that ocean view, it would be a huge change. Kinda weird that they renovated the rooms yet not much has been put in the visual design to take advantage of the surroundings. Other then that the outside looks good and seems like they were more focused on that.

I appreciate your review. My wife and I booked an oceanfront/ocean view room at Dayton House at the end of the summer (2022), back in February. Got a hefty discount being over 6 months ahead booking. Military discount helped as well. Watching your video puts it into a better light on what to expect. The still photos on their website compared to this video opens up the eyes alot. It's kinda what I expected. Not "run down" per say, but very USED. Room looked clean. Couple questions I have. Hope you see this sometime and could answer; How was your treatment from the staff upon checking in/out and everyday passerby? Were people (other travelers, and locals) courteous? What is the new method the staff requires of "us" to have them clean the room, get new towels, etc.? No I dont work for the place 😆 These are just questions that I like to know ahead of time instead of getting blindsided.

The check in building was the only place I noticed them the whole time. Other travelers and locals were kind. We stayed here a little over a year ago and only for two nights and at that time it was clean yourself and we didn't run out of towels so I am not sure how it will be now or if you stay longer than two nights. I really hope you have an AMAZING trip! We actually ended up moving down here shortly after posting this video. We are near North Myrtle Beach and love it! :)

Not inclusive, the resort fee was $15 a day (some resorts charge up to $35 a day that I know of) to cover your use of the ammenitites.
