Daytona Practice Day Engine Break-In

I had trouble with the carburetor's metering circuits not transitioning smoothly at all. We had something in the carb not right, Low circuit jet, pop-off, inlet needle/seat size, fulcrum arm height (known as "float arm" to the PWC tech's!) or all of the above combined. We did not have what we needed to go through all of these items AND the track was so rough I lost motivation to keep working on it when a simple turn of the needles didn't help.
We did not line the kart up to race in this condition, but, we do know the new mods really strengthened our position in the Engine dept!

What class are you running?? I ran Yamaha light and heavy back in the early 80s

This is an F-125. Italian purpose made Karting engine, 125cc, 6 gears, electronic "shift-no-lift", top speed (best so far) 140. Once we get either THIS carb worked out or replace it with something that does, it should go faster than that yet. We test in April!!!
