I like that for a short moment you showed that the 1,2,3 on the same arm doesn't mean, all three are on the same attack of that arm. Took me some time, to discover that im my own training. No teacher told it to me. But the drill did. Like it tells, where to move - although you don't do it for the sake of the loop. Thanks for the video.

I Love how well explained this video is.. But i think its misspelled... I think its HUBUD.. HUBAD means NAKED ..but i love this video... Thanks

In Tagalog, Hubad does mean Naked. Yet in the Filipino Martial Arts, teachers (systems/methods) tend to take common terms and use them in a slightly different context to suit their martial practice. For example, Walis is the simple noun that is widely used to refer to native brooms of the Philippines. Yet in many FMA systems, Walis is used to mean an inward leg sweep & Silhig refers to a backward leg sweep. To date, I've studied nine systems of FMA. My first two teachers preferred to used the Visayan language terms: Hubad as the common name for “Higot Hubad Lubad.” English translation: “to tie and untie while blending.” Now I'm told that "Hubud Lubud" is possible the more politically correct usage. For this video I decided to pay respect to my early teachings.... Having said that, I've often considered changing the spelling on this video :-)

Glad you enjoyed the video 🙏. For a slower play speed, check KZbin settings. You should be able to adjust viewing speed to .25% on any KZbin video.

Your usage of all caps and cursing erroneously implies that you know what you're talking about 🤪. The usage of Hubad / Hubud in the FMA has nothing to do with sexuality or nudity of the human body 🤣🤣🤣. In the context of the Filipino Martial Arts, Hubud or Hubad refers to "untie" or "bare". The full name of the drill showcased in this video is Hampak Higot Hubad Lubad. This translates as - To Hit, To Tie, To Untied, While Blending.

Hubud in Cebuano also means naked 🤪🤪🤪. In case you don't know, there are over a hundred dialects in the Philippines. In the context of the Filipino Martial Arts, Hubud or hubad refers to "untie" or "bare". The full name of the drill showcased in this video is Hampak Higot Hubad Lubad.
