Cracking stretch Daz! Brought back some memories of childhood holidays in a cottage in Dwyran, just inland from where you were on the straights👍 Such a shame to see that dead dolphin 😯 We spotted some of its healthier buddies on our trip the other week! 😁

Another stunning day on the trail Daz. Coastal paths look fantastic in the sunshine don’t they? I had a full English breakfast most mornings on the Pennine Way. It’s surprising how long it keeps you full for. I’ve gone right of sausage and bacon now though. Not touching them for a while! The stepping stones looked brill by the way.

Nice one Anthony I tried to get bacon sarnies a few times managed to get 1 full welsh breakfast which was very welcome 🙏 yes the weather makes all the difference on a long hike and the coast looked amazing atb daz

Just watching again Daz as Ive now completed Anglesey. Strange seeing all the calm seas. The stepping stonea were already 3 ft under water two hours before high tide. Llanddwyn Island was brilliant with huge wavea crashing around.
@dazbass0072 жыл бұрын
I can only imagine how tough it would be to cross those steppingstones if they were under water and as you say Llanddwyn island is gorgeous i had a great camp there even if i did think i was going to get washed away 😂 glad you survived 😉 atb daz

@@dazbass007 that beach you camped on..the day I was walking there.your tent would have been blown to the Isle of Man. I had the benefit of rough seas all the way down from Holyhead to Newborough. Fantastic to watch the big breakers crashing in. Walked less distances than you but I was constrained by the clocks going back and slippy conditions. But great watching everyone else vids to see how every day itsva different experience

@@dazbass007 Yeah, it was a busy section and it's been a good old busy hike so far. For sure that guys interest was pricked - wonder if he camped there. Well, love them hats that stick around. The cold soaking leaves no burnt bottom to be cleaned if you get my drift.

Enjoying your walk Daz … looks fantastic . May I ask how much water you usually carry at any one time and are there enough places to replenish on the way
@dazbass0072 жыл бұрын
Thanks David it is my favourite hike to date. I carried about 1.5 ltrs and kept topping up whenever I could and just before trying to find a camp spot I would fill up everything probably about 2.5 litres but that was a bit overkill as you pass alot of towns and villages and churches always water at a church 🙂 i never struggled to top up used my filter a couple of times atb daz

I was thinking .. because I’m 60 and it might be too much ..that I might take the car then every couple of days walking I could bus it back to the car and drive up to where I left off the path … and so on.. then I’d have the back up of extra clothing , food and peace of mind. Do you think it would work or am I being a wuss ? Lol
@dazbass0072 жыл бұрын
@@davidtaylor7462 your not being a wuss 😂😂 we all know our limits I'm sure if would work especially if your doing it in the summer time as local transport should be more frequent. I'm sure you could leave your car say half way round to resupply clothes etc are you camping or staying in accommodation. Atb daz
