TIPS FOR ANYONE NEW TO THE GAME (I probably haven't covered everything and it's counselor tips only because we'd be here scrolling for ages so feel free to comment other advice): First off, Jason can't die unless you kill him in a specific way you can find how kn KZbin just search 'how to kill Jason' The sounds and signals: -the tch tch noises means the player as Jason earned a new ability -when the drastic music starts playing it means Jason is near you -If the screen does the glitchy effect it means Jason just teleported near you (if he's right next to you pull some crazy dukes by running side to side) Starting and finding items: -as soon as you enter find a cabin lock the doors (if you find a bear trap place it infront just make sure to tell any players around you that it's there because trapping them is a dick move) and open some windows for easier escape and stock up on a weapon and other items by looking through drawers -medical sprays can heal you even if your on the verge of death it's some magical shit (they are always in the outside bathrooms and sometimes in the one's in the cabins) -a map is pretty much your way of finding different ways to escape like the cops, the boat or the car and where other players and Jason (only when the red square appears) are located -the walkie talkie is used to talk to players all over the map otherwise you can only talk to people near you bht it makes it easier for Jason to hear you -a pocket knife is your saviour, if you get grabbed by Jason it instantly hits him and you have some time to run away -firecrackers are good distraction if you're being chased by Jason -bats and even pans are good weapons to have, if you successfully hit Jason he'll be stunned for a bit -having a shotgun or flare gun can also stun Jason for a bit but it can be hard to shoot if the player as Jason moves around a lot -you also need items like the phone fuse to repair the phone box and call the police (these usually spawn around the area where the phone is but be warned Jason has a map and after you call he can telport right to you) or the gas, keys and battery for the car and the gas and propellor for the boat -inside the cabins there are beds and closets you can hide in but they're not that effective unless you have a high stealth and Jason hasn't gained 'Rage' The characters: -you can choose who your counselor (the character trying to survive) and Jason are by clicking on the faces in the lobby before games and in the settings (more options become available when you level up or you get DLCs) -each character has different stats and some may be better or worse at things like repairing, being stealthy or regaining stamina -you can get perks for your character using cp (the game currency) earned after finishing a game which can range from common to epic General tips: -NEVER RUN UNLESS JASON IS VERY NEAR YOU it makes it 10 times easier for him to detect you so your best choices are walking or jogging or if you're really low on stamina crouching -if Jason is behind you they might try throwing knives so never walk in a straight line -watch out for traps particularly around the cars, boat and phone box, they're disguised under leaves but are easy to spot because they are a different shade of green -if the police arrive wait somewhere in between the two exits because if they end up not being at the exit you went to, well Jason's gonna fuck you up fast -if you find the radio use it, this will mean Tommy Jarvis will be called so if at least 2 people die or escape one player can be brought back, equipped with a shotgun, map and walkie talkie, to help other players (even kill Jason) or escape (which you shouldn't cause that's another dick move, help people don't just escape) -if Jason grabs you and you don't have a pocket knife be prepared to spam the fuck outta the 'Escape' button (it can differ if you're using a controller or keyboard for example on the keyboard the button is 'E' THAT'S ALL I CAN BE BOTHERED TO WRITE BUT DO ADD EXTRA ADVICE
