I am happy you have some enjoyment in your days. I started watching Jordan while in the hospital myself ,his first week doing his daily vlog. I in no way expected to still be here listening. He doesn’t go out everyday now ,but there is plenty to see of the back catalogue that I will watch reruns 😅. It is wonderful to have something to look forward to each day. I send you best wishes for pain free days .

Truly the stuff of nightmares. Your discomfort when you were driving towards the farmhouse made me wonder if a landscape can somehow become infected by its own past. I also feel sorry for the town itself, as it's identity has sadly been swallowed up by this horrific incident. Many thanks Jordan for researching and creating this vlog.

These types of stories are not meant to entertain but to inform. When we forget history, we are doomed to repeat it. Every serial killer has taught us things to look for in the future. And, they will happen again and again because the human nature of some is askew....sick, twisted and perverse. Thank you, Jordan, for as someone said below, I know this was a tough one.

Thank you Jordan. I want to say that I think you handled this story very well. Your sensitivity to others was very nicely done. It is a truly horrible story about a very disturbed man. Jordan you did such an amazing job on this vlog. Your concern about all of us & giving people the opportunity to not hear the horrific details about what this man did was so appreciated. You are so right about being alert & aware of those around you. He was pure evil & you handled this story with grace & compassion for all of us who love you & the work you do here. You knew not to go on that property & as a believer I believe that was God speaking to your heart. I hope you hugged Jah & went somewhere that you both could enjoy. This was definitely a rough one for you but I thank you for sharing this story & making people aware.

Plainfield is only 24 miles from where I grew up and now live. Too young to remember this, but it did affect my mom who grew up in a small town 15 miles away from where all this happened. Fascinating. I'm glad you posted this video. Human depravity is, unfortunately, quite interesting. In Ed Gein's case, it is about a psychopath more than about "evil." The Manson family murders, for example, were pure evil. This involved sickness---a very diseased mind and the terrible things that it can do. Don't apologize Jordan, it is a learning experience. Bad exists in the world---the thing to do is educate ourselves on how and why it takes place.

Thank you Jordan this is one crazy story , I don’t blame you for not wanting to walk on the farm I wouldn’t either .Unfortunately -(?)parents are often blamed when the childhood of a sociopath is looked at. Ed is a perfect recipe for a serial killer if you look at the abusive drunk father & the religious zealot mother. Perhaps she cracked from her life of childhood abuse herself. She seemed to want to beat any idea of sex or self love out of her boys. We don’t have much knowledge of Ed’s brother but something I have across the years gives me the memory that Ed’s brother had more of a personality. Ed was at least severely damaged and unable of course unable to ever find a female who would to date him, being lonely after his mom died ,he just dug his dates up from the cemetery. Totally horrifying still to this day gives me goosebumps thinking about Ed even though I read first about him in the years ago.

You were definitely right that this was a tough one to watch, but I am a firm believer that we can’t cancel & and pretend everything that happened in our country that was horrific, or any acts of atrocity, are even things that happened in our country’s past that people find offensive should just be erased. These are all things that we need to learn from and be aware of like you’re saying notice what’s going on in your neighborhood in your community so that we can help prevent this from happening now and in the future. You’re always a consummate, professional and you treated this Vlog delicately, and we appreciated that❤ we know that that could have been an easy vlog for you to research and record. I ❤ that he captured that outstanding rock formation, too❣️ It reminded me of the rock forms in the Wisconsin Dells. Jordan placing his own journalistic spin on the history of Plainfield's E.G., is much-appreciated. Yearly, updated vlogs about the ever-changing Gein-family gravestones, and family-farmstead grounds, are necessary. Every KZbinr has a different way of capturing the story. Jordan gave me new minutae to munch on, if you will. 😅🙃 Being silly with my last statement, but, yeah, Jordan was highly engaging. 💞 He's important to the world-of-culture, and history, etcetera. 💕 💗.

Ive heard his story before and its funny to me that he was deemed ''insane' but yet knew enough to plan a murder and also to dig up deceased persons when the ground was still fresh. sociopath yes. I would imagine his Mother took care of everything and he didn't even have any idea how to do anything like pay bills, cook, take care of the house....then he probably just snapped. who knows.

It is sadly, the dark side of history. I watched a couple of Ed Gein videos during the pandemic and I see that even more of the headstone of Ed's mother has been chipped away. At that rate it will probably be gone in a decade. Thanks for your work!
