I know I have a lot to say but anyway, Judy Garland had a look that no one else had. She had her own look which is amazingly beautiful and gorgeous. ❤

A great many thanks to both of you for this amazing visit. What a beautiful property! Also, thank you for filming as you descended the stairs, it created quite a magical effect - suddenly we saw the property as the home Judy knew. As overseas viewers, it is unlikely we will ever be able to visit all the fascinating places you take us to. We really appreciate these terrific vlogs.

After learning about her childhood as well as her life, despite loving the wizard of oz ever since I was a child I can’t look at that movie the same way anymore. I recently saw it in theaters when they brought ir back for the 85th anniversary and when I saw her on screen i got sad.

I remember hearing about how my grandmother baby sat for Judy as a kid. That would be about right as my grandmother was born in 1908 herself. Making her 14 when Judy was born. My grandmother was Mildred (Millie) Garfield. RIP

Volumes have been written about her life. Sadness abounds. But so does Judy's indomitable spirit, talent, and treasure of performances and legacy of love for her children. May she rest in peace 👑✝️🕊️🙏♥️

Thanks for spending time in my state! I am in Minneapolis (retired), but I lived in the Brainerd Lakes area and many other parts of Minnesota. I am very familiar with Grand Rapids. I enjoyed your visit when you stopped here to do the piece on Francis Scott Fitzgerald. People are surprised when they learn of all the famous people who were born or lived in Minnesota. Keep up the great work!

Judy went to school at the Central School here in the middle of Grand Rapids. I fear you might have missed it. The architecture is interesting. There’s the Judy Garland Festival every summer when the munchkins would show up. The school was going to be torn down but other people rescued it. I pass by this place about once a week. I also used to live by Bob Dylan’s house in Hibbing and didn’t even know 😅. So fun to see this video and have others enjoy it! Judy was wonderful.

Future tip: go during the Judy Garland Festival they have every year and take the VIP bus tour. They'll take you inside the building she first performed in and show you some cool stuff. Like remnants that remain of the original theater in the basement. They'll also show you the hospital (housing complex now) she was born in and point to the room, and they'll take you to see her baptism record as well the church still holds. If you're lucky you might even meet some Judy historians.

Thank you both for coming to Minnesota for these videos! I wish that you were coming to my hometown of Hibbing MN. It also has some great historical sites and a beautiful high school. Yesterday i found the wizard of oz on blu ray at goodwill, i seen it dozens of times allready in the past, tonight i put it in to watch it, i got a lil drowsey and opened youtube remembering that this channel had done something in the past about judy garland to find a new video just released ,its so weird to me the timing of it all. When you see judy garland in that role your drawn to find out all you can and thats what i did.

Looks like you entered through the mud room on the back of the house when walking into the actual house. Also, yes the parents would have definitely shared a bed unless they were wealthy, and in that case they would have had separate rooms. The whole double bed thing was a novelty of the mid-twentieth century.
