Thank you so much Jordan & Katie. I was so proud to be a fellow Georgian & cast my very first presidential vote for Jimmy Carter back in 1976. I still am very proud of the life he & his beautiful wife lead. Heaven is shining brighter with the two of them up there.

Thank you Jordan for filming this . He has always been my favorite president. I was a little girl when he became president and have always admitted him. My mom, grandma & aunt went to Plains and brought me back a Peanut necklace. I've always treasured it.🥰

I lived in Americus and volunteered with Habitat a couple (or 3 1/2 😜) decades ago. I was blessed to visit Plains often, including attending Pres. Carter’s Bible study. We would call the antique store Saturday to see if he would be in town the next morning. I also was enjoyed working with Jimmy and Rosalynn at a couple work projects with Habitat. Both were humble, genuinely kind people. At the work project in Atlanta a security person saw a light in the middle of the night. He investigated to find Jimmy working all by himself to finish the wood railing on the porch so it would be complete for the dedication the next morning. To me that really exemplifies who he was. Doing what needed to be done, quietly and altruistically, helping others because it was the right thing to do. I wish I could be there to pay my respects. Many thanks to you both for this vlog. Beautifully done.

Jordan, I consider most of your Vlogs, including this one, a great public service to the general public. Often, the focus is made on what is wrong with what is broadcast on the internet, including videos on KZbin. Your videos are amongst the best examples of how the internet can benefit us all. Your videos are organized, interesting, educational, and fun to watch. Thank you for all your hard work in producing and presenting these videos. I have been a fan of your work for many years. Take care, Ivo (Evo)

This was exceptional Jordan. You produced a documentary that gave us an insight into the heartbeat of a community. With the passing of President Carter we, and by that I speak as an overseas viewer, have lost an individual who served, not only his country, but his fellow man. His passing causes us pause, as we worry we have lost, not only the man, but the belief that previous generations held in regards to service to others. Therefore the greatness of your film lay in the way you managed to capture the legacy of President Carter within the town of Plains. It appears a gentle legacy, yet a great one. On your last visit I think I mentioned the world could do with more people like Jimmy Carter. Perhaps in the future there may just be - and it wouldn't surprise me if they came from a town called Plains.

Being born and raised in Georgia l so remember Jimmy Carter running for president. His campaign bus came through my hometown of Lawrenceville and my Mother got to meet him! Mother was given a small peanut pin! We loved him and we were proud he was running for president. I believe Willie Nelson smoked a joint on top of the Whitehouse when he performed for President Carter and Roslyn! Loved this Jordan! Ty! Great to see Katie! Take care and safe travels ❤❤

My son who is an archeologist did the excavation evaluation and preparation for President Carter and Mrs Carter’s internment area. He said they would come out daily and converse with them about their progress. He loved the time he spent in Plains for their home area to become part of the National Park Service.

Enjoyed the video. I remember stopping by the train depot as a child with my family in the summer of 1976 while the Presidential campaign was in full swing. It seems like I recall Miss Lillian sitting in a chair there during our visit, but I’m not 100% sure of that. We slowly drove by the Carter house when we passed through Plains again during December of 1976, and a Secret Service agent waved for us to keep moving with his rifle.
