Today we get a customer's kart into the garage for some repairs. The complaint was the engine wasn't performing like it should in the top end. The kart had set a while and needed a new carb. We found out that the brakes had been modified and was not working. We fabbed up a new brake bracket and got the air out of the lines and now its as good as new. Don't forget to like, comment, and subscribe for more!!!

Pro tip: When using tires to mark trails, cut holes in the sidewalls with a hole saw to drain water, so mosquitos can't breed.

Mini Mity Vac. Worth the cost many times over, even if only used once. A 2 hour bleed process is down to 15 minutes, or less. And cheap too.

You need to invest in a hand pump vacuum bleeder. I bought one 5 yrs ago and it's so nice. I can bleed them with just me in the garage. So much faster as well.

I had to use a tire pump needle with a piece of plexiglass and a rubber tire inner tube . Drilled a small hole through the glass and rubber, inserted needle and hooked up tire pump and forced air into the top of the reservoir in order to get the master cylinder to allow brake fluid to force through the small hole in it. Worked great.

Sure glad I found your channel. I'm working on a ATV just as yours. So I can see that I need to pull one of those studs out and do the drivers side first. I was checking the pistons to see just what is going on. They seem pretty clean. I did see lots of water going out on the old lines. So that is what I will do and I will let you know. Can't wait for the third person to hold the camera.

Sir i cant speak for the bleeding process on a cart but with i most definetely wouldve have replaced that master cylinder i mean the guy did say he saw flakes in that brown fluid so theres a decent chance that the seals in the master cylinder are damaged or cut and the brakes will fail again

On this master cylinder it has a front zone piston and rear zone piston which work independently of each other. However they’re attached to a single bracket, which applies them in unison. So I suppose it wouldn’t matter. But I get what you’re saying. On this one, the front zone you’d do the passenger side first and the driver side second. If I’m wrong I suppose someone will correct me but I thought I’d try. lol

DAZON RAIDER!! One of my favorite GY6 buggies. Those carbs do NOT have a choke, but instead have an electronic device for FUEL ENRICHMENT for cold starting. Choke cuts off air to make rich, that puts more fuel in to make rich. Everything on those is very reliable. Very serviceable. Very "TUNABLE"!! Bump the main up to a 125, with a foam air filter. Idle/Pilot Jet could be increased to a 38(?)... but not always necessary. CDI, COIL, PLUG, and you'll go from 8 hp to 11 hp. HUGE Increase. Then tune the CVT with 12 gram "sliders" in the front pulley and a YELLOW 1500 RPM BIG Rear Pulley Spring. Put a performance exhaust on it and it'll do hole-shots!

You should add those carbs to a box and part strip them later on. Throwing them in the bin is a bit of a waste, there's lots of things still worth a weekend afternoon worth of screwing around to parts pick them. Maybe even make it an intern job.

So on my buggy project i`m having problems getting a good brake pedal. Its stiff and theres next to no braking at all. Heres my parts: brake calipers from an arctic cat atv, hard lines from master cylinder to edge of frame then from frame braided lines for movement. I bench bled the master then did the pump and bleed caliper routine and did this many many times but the master plunger will move only 1/4 of an inch and theres no braking at all. I could still have major air in the lines I am assuming? i`m also using a master cylinder off a 70`s chevy nova...my other concern is the master being too much of volume of fluid mover and blowing out the caliper seals.

Sounds to me like it's only reving out to about 3500 rpm. Shouldn't a GY6 be turning 5k+? Also engages at really low RPM. Not necessarily a bad thing, but would be more fun w/ a 1800 or so engagement.

It might be profitable to pay you to rebuild the carbs because nearly every of those chineese carbs that i bought had metal shavings in them, brand new! so it would eventually fail pretty quickly.
