A lot of people who actually love Disney for their previous work get all the more frustrated and unhappy about the current situation than your average audience. More and more people are starting to get tired of these live action (or realistic 3D) remakes. On the other hand, those who aren't that into Disney other than purely for nostalgia reasons may actually be more likely to enjoy these remakes. Especially the kind of adults who think live action is automatically a more "grown up" medium - and let's be honest, an actual Disney adult is unlikely to be a part of this group.

I’m so glad that at least some other people are aware of how insanely disgraceful and disrespectful the upcoming Snow White movie is going to be. It’s essentially the film that made Disney and they’re using it to push narratives and cgi slop instead of paying tribute to this incredible industry changing movie.
@Steve-e3v6e15 сағат бұрын
i really think some blame really needs to be put on the audience who come to see this slop, at this point i can't even blame disney for wanting to continue to make these garbage remakes cause audiences keep coming to see them and earn them money. the reality is general audiences don't care if the remakes suck, they'll gladly come come to watch these "live action" remakes cause in their eyes its safer and less risky to watch something that's based on something you like then to watch something new and original
@kingofhelllucifer162611 сағат бұрын
First thing, I entirely agree with the fact that this upcoming Snow White remake is just slop that shouldn't exist, and I do believe it is disrespectful by implying live action is better than animation, this shit truly pisses me off. Disney has also been pretty creatively bankrut for a while and is only interested in expanding already existing properties it owns or simply buying new ones (Blue Sky studio stuff and Fox stuff come to mind in recent times). It's honestly a pretty shit company that is really trying to gain a monopoly in the entertainment industry, and it is quite scary to think that this is just a general trend in a lot of different markets. However, can we stop pretending Disney has any agenda whatsoever, it's really tiring, especially since people are missing the forest for the trees over meaningless culture war BS. Disney is a company first and foremost and tries to maximize profits, that's why it's been so lazy with remakes and sequels recently: why risk not making a lot of money with something new and creative when you know that people will eat up stuff they already know. So if they're "pushing" anything, it's because it knows it'll do well, or at the very least not hurt their brand, the minute they receive backlash, they'll stop, that's it. They're just pandering, but only because they sense they can turn a profit with it, and if they sense that, that means most people they target either are okay with or don't care about said messaging, so it's not so much pushing a message as them repeating stuff that is safe and not controversial. You can be annoyed, by it, not like it and feel that it's shallow identity politics (which it is), but saying they push narratives implies that they have any vision whatsoever, which they clearly don't given that they're creatively bankrupt. Apologies if that was long, I'm getting pretty annoyed by those comments that I see everywhere and who clearly are getting a weird picture of what Disney is and what's truly wrong with this shit company, so I had to get this off my chest somewhere.

Mufasa meanwhile carries the tradition of Disney Live Action films being less enjoyable then the animated ones; and most people claiming it's basically a worse version of the Lion King 1 1/2. Which can still change, I’m sure, they’re both still being shown. If we're going to get annoyed with Disney about twisting the stats, let’s not leave out any figures either. Couldn't ask my friends to join me as they're busy studying. I was anticipating watching this movie from the start of last year. And coming into 2025, i have absolutely no regrets lmao. (Yes I'll probably fail my exams but still worth it lol).

I think people will forget Mufasa in the long run, Sonic 3 tho, even if you dont want to talk about sonic in anyway and talk about the actors, how did this film break Jim Careys no sequel rule after he said he was also retiring, its pulling big names like Idris Elba and Keanu Reeves. The first film was going going to be a flop then they listened to the fans. It also shows that changing things up from previous incarnations of established characters does not detract the public. Disneys only chance i feel to get anything close to this type of success and with this style, animated realistic style, is with Lilo and Stitch, but they will have to take the realistic part out, which i doubt because it's basically their brand now

I personally loved Sonic 3 but the thing that got me hyped up for more was the post-credits scene. I haven't been hyped up by a post-credits scene since the golden decade of the MCU! Sonic 4 will probably feature a romance subplot and I'm interested in how the Metal Sonics were made (wasn't he made by Robotnik in the Sonic games? I'm not entirely hot on the Sonic lore)

My theory is that some how hard boiled egg (grandfather eggman) time travelled from how much power that wall had and he was able to build an army of robot Sonic before Sonic arrived on Earth and he waited until then to release some of them or they decided to appear then because hard boiled egg is oooooollllllllddddd and he could of died.
