The Reptile Grow Tents Finally Failed Me...

well 3 years with no incident of tegus breaking out of a tegu grow tent. i count pretty good. hopefully this is the last time we have a reptile break out of their enclosure.

A good way to reinforce grow tents is to replace the metal poles and build a wood frame with the same dimensions and wire the cage and then put the grow tent over that to conceal the humidity

I got bitten on my thumb Friday. My new tegu (got her after St Patrics day). I learned to wash my hands before picking her up. I ate a cupcake, I realized there was icing on my thumb, then too late, I felt the CHOMP! Luckily it wasn't what she wanted and I only have 1 hole below my thumb nail. She also steals pop tarts. She is a Chacoan. And Bimsen looks like he wanted a treat!

I 100% agree with you to grow tense are great quick easy enclosures easy to clean easy to move easy to set up put in my opinion nothing beats a hand built enclosure and you could probably do a cheap one for around the same price as two or three grow tents so that's why I agree with grow tents are good

I have been researhing tegus for over 6 months now. Are they truly as puppy dogish as they say when they are adults? Ive been watching videos specifically of aggfressive tegus to make sure its something im willing to handle if things take a turn for the worse.
