Yes that's the one bad part about ap cages. Loooong shipping time and they use freight shipping which is not cheap

Thanks for the video. I liked how comprehensive it was. As far as different companies go which do you recommend? I have a zen habitats, but im getting more lizards so I was looking at AP and Kages custom reptile enclosures.

I love tubs! I keep my blood python, sumatran short tail python and my blue tongue skink in tubs. I modified a Christmas tree tub for the bluey and added a screen so I could give her a basking spot. They hold humidity so well. They've been in tubs for years ever since I got them. Of course I use thermostats/heat mats as well as keeping them in a temp controlled room. Also, I always check temps with a heat gun to make sure they are on point. Works great for me! I have my beardie in a tank that he came with when I adopted him and I hate it. I am contemplating getting 4 x 2 ap pvc enclosures for each of them just for an upgrade and to make it more visually appealing. I just found your channel and I really like it! You have a great personality and all you're animals look healthy and happy.

Thank you! Ap cages are a solid choice, but can be pricy and shipping usually takes anywhere from 3-6 months.

I actually plan to scrub my dart frog vivarium later as the walls have water marks from the mister... despite me using RODI water. I assume it is just because of something else, like being in a living room where my dogs hang out (they play outside in dirt and particles obviously get airborne), or being near two saltwater aquariums (29 gallon right next to the viv, and a 10 gallon on the other side of the 29. So wouldn't surprise me if it is some sort of salt residue, without outright being major salt creep).

I would like to add my 1-month's experience with a Zen Habitat. I bought a HUGE 4X2X4 for my 2 painted agamas. They love it and I love it. It is well designed and well constructed. It comes as a kit of parts that all fit well with each other. The kit is medium hard to assemble, but is totally worth it.

Any thoughts on tents as an enclosure for boas? I'm still on the fence about what to do once my girl outgrows her tub and I'm not looking forward to the price tag that comes along with most large tanks / pvc enclosures. I see a lot of large lizards in tents but there's not a lot of examples of them being used for large snakes and I'm curious why that is. I asked this question on a Wickens Wicked Reptiles video and he pointed me to ur channel.

Display case from a failing store get cheap take apart to move it u find info that is key for doing this online for tearing down and rebuilding mine is six foot long two feet deep and three feet tall fifty cash easy it cost new a grand so always buy used.

I dont have to modify my exo terra... its bioactive and keeping humidity constant at ~80% with spraying it down once weekly for maybe 30 seconds. I think the main problem with exo terra and humidity is, that you have to have it 100 % bioactive with a good and "deep" substrate (my substrate layer is as deep as the bottom part of the exoterra) and lots of plants

What are you using to read your humidity? I have been using "bioactive" substrate for about 10 years now since before it was a marketing term. An exoterra does not hold humidity for shit unless your substrate is just straight up soaking with a heat mat on the substrate.

@@dannysreptiles4379 i have 3 digital hygrometers in different areas of the enclosure. The thing with exoterras is that you have to have a really deep substrate and lots of plants - then it works just perfectly. (The average air humidity outside of the enclosure is at ~ 50%)

They make reptile tents made out of plastic and mesh have done so for atleast 20 years but they are garbage a grow tent with a view window is a cheap way to start but the best way is to build a enclosure urself or buy a pre made one if you have the room.
