I plan to use an 8x4x4 for my tegu when hes full grown. Right now hes in a 6x3x3. I say go for it, alot of people are using grow tents to house adult tegus with no issues

Why not lay the tegu's grow tent on its side so you have more floor space as opposed to height...

I'm actually going to be moving him in the next few days and will be laying the enclosure on its side. I choose to keep it up right due to the fact when I first bought the tent when he was only 4-5 weeks old and I felt taming an 18-20in tegu would be easier working in a 3x3 space vs a 6x3.

Vivosun, I also recommend I power. Its a little more expensive, but the quality is better.

Tegus tend to go through an ornery phase in their adolescence. They will usually grow out of it.
