Teen Gohan, SSB Goku, Trunks. It's my standard go to team and while it may not be the best I love playing with all 3 of them.

Heh, I play 3 teams. Main is Roshi yamcha baseku, then there's ssjku ssj vegeta yamcha and then there's bardock yamcha ssjku. Im eating good with this chart xD

Is that fat Buu and base Goku at one point??? What??? Goku can give free meter, and Buu is the king of cross up nonsense. Gogeta, fat Buu, baseku all the way for me.

Fat Buu was probably a bit low and could have been 2, but unfortunately base Goku is one of the worst characters in the game

Part of the reason for the ban (I think) is that many teams would just be one of those characters and two bottom ones, since the top tiers are THAT broken. And middle chars would see no use. Thanks for the feedback though! What changes would you like to see the list, just curious?

@@Wattski_fgcI mean, a lot of those are valid picks! Cell, Bluegeta and Jiren I think are all valid. Beerus could be debatable, with the no recovery level 3. Gohan and Baby I feel like should be in 3 ratio, they are good but Gohan requires a lot of meter to make broken. Baby is great but he has nothing like a safe dp that turns into mix when blocked, or a command grab with full invincibility. I could see it being like Jiren though, where he doesn’t have one super strong and obnoxious move but in combination they make a broken character. Idk, just my thoughts.

Thanks, it was definitely hard for @elperculator lol everyone (including me) were all yelling at him with different opinions 🤣 I think the reasoning for Beerus was that even at 3 he has no good teams since he needs kinda specific support. Vs solo anchor Gohan can come in with bar and win a whole game with one touch into lvl 7 sometimes. Baby I think was in the same vein as jiren like you mentioned. We'll see, maybe after the tourney the list will be adjusted. Some chars like mbuu, videl, ssj Vegeta are low in my opinion

⁠@@Wattski_fgcI’m assuming you got the idea from Marvel vs capcom ratio tourneys. Yeah I know those characters are “broken” (wrong way to use that word btw) but taking away from the game just seems less fun. The marvel vs capcom series has characters that are just as strong if not stronger than the characters in dbfz and not one ratio tourney that I’ve seen bans any characters. They just make the ratio so you can only choose one of those characters along with some lower tiers like you said. I know that’s what you were trying to avoid but banning is so subjective, one could make a pretty valid argument for banning 17 and krillin if you’re gonna ban all those other characters. Gotenks is hardly seen because of the high skill ceiling to use him properly. Just my two cents, take a look at some of the ratios for MVC2 and MVC3 and follow suite. There are people who genuinely like the middle tier characters for the sake of the characters and would pick them , me for example I play piccolo/ Janemba shell and like to use the Vegetas.

Thanks for that perspective @PsychicJaguar19, I actually know very very little about marvel so I hadn't considered that before. I definitely see your point about characters being taken away making the game less fun, and your points about the mid tier shells and where to draw the cutoff line for ban too. I'm curious now how marvel ratio teams look now, so I'll look into that! Also, the format and ratios aren't made by me but I'll share your thoughts with the creator.
