With your acent Tomato. is closer to the original word which is "Ntomata" in Greek! The only change, is that you don't use the N, which makes the first letter sound more like a "D" and the last letter is an "a" that sounds exactly as the first a on that word. You're doing a fine work Rob! It's rare to find a KZbinr, who really knows and understands knives. I appriciate your work, keep it up!! Cheers

Only used mine (#170) to make a couple of feathersticks when I got it. Then it went in the cupboard & hasn't been used since. Good knife, it just doesn't do anything for me in terms of looks. An expensive bland looking blade (imo) that I just don't use. Was thinking about selling it & getting an LT wright illuminus 5. I prefer a scandi grind for most things & a saber grind with a secondary convex for a "survival" type knife.....which to me is just a larger camp/utility knife.

So, go now, and begin your life of fear, knowing that when you least expect it, the looming sword of Damocles will crash down upon you, cleaving you in twain and as you gaze upon the smoking wreckage that was once your life, you will regret the day you only agreed with "most" of what I said.

Exactly as you said, it looks to be a great knife that accomplishes everything around camp.....a jack of all trades. the cut out is where a victorinox alox farmer would come in handy, it has a great awl which you could chain drill with and a saw to finish it off. I get it though, it's a test of the DBK knife, but at least this is another comment for the comment section 😄

Another great video Rob, as always! Noticed you've been using convex grinds a lot more lately rather than scandi. Which do you prefer for general use?
@RobEvansWoodsman2 жыл бұрын
That's a good question mate. Basically if I'm in broadleaf woods I think a convex blade is best as the hardwoods are tougher and featherstick wood is few and far between, conifers are mostly soft and straight grained awesome with a scandi. The big question is which is best long term? The "Alone" knife!
@RhysTucker26032 жыл бұрын
@@RobEvansWoodsman very interesting points made there Rob, I'll have to have a think about that. I've always gone with a 4" scandi grind bushcraft knife, I have loads of them.
