Yeah I'm pleased with the progress, nearly a rust free shell and that will be a nice day when it comes

@@DBMiniDIY it's a good day indeed, then you'll be like me and stressing about it rusting in between it going for paint 😂😂😅😅Sent my gearbox off for soda blasting last week, should hopefully be rebuilding that in a couple of weeks then fingers crossed, be painting the underside 😁😁👍👍

@@DBMiniDIY I'm in two minds whether to do it myself or not, definitely spraying the underside and inside myself. Will be doing the bodywork and filling, sanding but final paint I may send out to make sure it looks as good as it can,but then it will be sat for ages while I save up, decisions decisions 🤔🤔😅😅

Dale what is the purpose of the square hole in the panel you welded in last? Cheers, Midge

Not 100% sure, they are there for later cars as the earlier models did not have the hole so I'm assuming the mpi has something there that earlier models did not have

I’m really curious what the hole is for in the long thin panel you fitted last, 7min40? Scratching my head here

Yeah I'm not 100% but my two best guesses were either for a trim piece on later cars or for access to inside the sills eg waxoil, drainage etc, course i could be completely wrong
