"Quiet boy!-where is your honour...?" Vegeta's speech about Goku to Trunks whilst this music is playing is what I remember when I hear this tune oh and the beautiful scene where the energy for the spirit bomb is being formed on Namek by Goku but then your shown images from around Namek where all those little bits of energy are emanating from-rocks, animals, rivers, tree's, flowers, grass, the sea etc, etc...and then you see from outta space all the various planets surrounding Namek giving their energy too. I really and always have felt that Faulconers music had a feel of space to it/about it, and I *LOVE* that!-it gives you the outta space element that runs throughout most of DBZ but in music form, whether it be Vegeta's theme, which for me in his music makes me remember all the travelling he's done in space and how far he has ventured once upon a time throughout the cosmos, and so on for many other themes throughout Dragonball Z. Much love for the show and Faulconer!! Much much L❤VE!! I do remember reading once that if you wanted a certain feeling through music to be braught to the screen for film or otherwise, Alan Silvestri or Bruce Faulconer were your 2 main men-they depicted those feelings through music perfectly and most directors who worked with them said they *ALWAYS* delivered *EVERY TIME!* WHAT LEGENDS YOU BOTH TRULY WERE AND STILL ARE I HOPE!!! It's a pity no one ever got them to work alongside eachother...but one can but dream of the epicness that *WOULD* of been delivered. Epic work *!!LEGENDS!!* Kudos guys, kudos!! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 ❤

I love people who dismiss GT as non-canon because it was not written by Akira Toriyama, but whenever I bring up DS9, VOY, and RBOOT, who were not created by Gene Roddenberry, those same people are quick to say that that stuff's canon in relation to Star Trek. You people can't have it both ways. Either GT is canon, or Star Trek is not after season 4 or 5 of TNG.
@Red2379110 жыл бұрын
Gene Roddenberry may have created it, but there were alot of different writers that wrote the story of each episode, then you had all the other staff like the model makers and the costume and set designers etc. Akira Toriyama wrote and drew Dragon Ball, with a little input on ideas from others. I remember liking GT at first when it came out but I completely lost interest toward the end of the Baby saga, I just remember it becoming very boring and in hindsight I am not happy with how many of the characters turned out to be. People are free to choose whether they want to accept GT or not.
@jsmurley128910 жыл бұрын
Creating a comic and creating a TV show are two entirely different things, the biggest of which is that Akira Toriyama for the most part dealt with very few people while he was creating dbz. Gene Roddenberry on the other hand had very little creative control while the original tv show was being made and in fact wasn't even present during season 3 (although he did retain creative rights and became executive producer). If the original writers of Star Trek are taken as Canon then you must include the Animated Series episodes because a large portion of the episodes that were written for the original series but weren't shot ended up in the Animated Series. Also I think that if the creator of a franchises dismisses a show that's supposed to be a continuation of their work then I don't think it's canon. Gene Roddenberry never rebuked DS9 (according to wikipedia shortly before his death he gave the project his blessing) although we may never know what he would've thought of it had he lived long enough to see the episodes air. Akira Toriyama on the other hand has clearly stated that GT isn't canon.

The feeling from 1:32 to 1:54 invokes when an anime character is intensely focused on developing a technique. Like a montage of Naruto learning Rasengan or Ichigo learning his Bankai.

4:11 Piccolo: *after Super Buu's Human Extinction Attack* What have I done? I won't fail you, I'll wish you all back! Goku: Kai. I can't sense the Earth. Supreme Kai: Me too. They're gone. They all been killed. Goku: They're gone?! All of them?! But they were there when I looked 5 minutes ago! Supreme Kai: Buu eliminated them all with a single attack. There were millions of them, Goku.

1:40 You know a song is good when a melody like this stays in your brain for decades. The Americans synthesizer sound is better music for a show about Space Aliens, time travel, androids, and God like warriors fighting for universal dominance than .... Just trumpets.

There are a few Japanese tracks worth remembering. Solid State Scouter, for example. But most of the original score has its place in Dragon Ball.. sort of like the writing .

You will never feel the same suspense and drama in Super or Kai than you would in Z. No comparison.

Kai is literally the same story with the filler cut. Quit getting overly nostalgic. I really need to know about Gohan's abusive tutor, Marron needing to be informed about the events of the original DB despite her exiting the plot later, or Kame House getting flooded when Cell achieves his Perfect Form. All of that added so much to the plot.

@civilwarfare101 Жыл бұрын
@@DISTX- Because you would have to get decently far into the series to hear it. And by that point its not really worth it. If the Saiyan Saga and early parts of the Frieza Saga were scored then it would be a different story.

Spirit Bomb is not a Deus Ex. For one thing, it doesn't just pop out of nowhere, and second, the only time it's ever ended the fight and wrapped things up was at the end of Kid Buu. Every other time it's used, it just seems to make the victim angry.

This weakened him. Without Kaio's techniques, the battle would have been over at the start (and heck even beating earlier enemies would have been impossible).
