GLADIUS, let me say man - the Faulconer score was without a doubt some of the best soundtrack work for its time. I still listen to those tracks to this day actually, and in doing so I found some of your remakes... and good lord man, you're breathing a new life into some of the most inspirational pieces of music I can remember. I think Gohan Fights Frieza would be super dope, and eventually when you reach Super - Bardock Falls and Broly's SSJ theme from the new Broly movie. Keep it up man, when it comes to these remakes and remasters you're definitely one of the greats. It's hard to turn something as niche as Faulconer Productions into something new but you're killing it. Can't wait to see what you do next.🤘

Bardock falls might be my favourite piece from that movie. This is absolutely mystical! Majestic! There's just so much to this theme right here. So many different emotions, so many different elements to the song and the sounds incorporated within it. It's longer than most of your previous tracks and it only does it justice being so, rather than being its determent. Another fine piece of work, GLADIUS!!

I always think mystical when I hear this piece especially when it gets calm like at 2:04. I see the images of the other planets in the Namek solar system giving their energy to Goku. As for the length it did take me longer than normal to make this one but I’m really proud of how it came out! ☺️ thank you again and again brother!

It does!! So many of those sounds are from a very old synthesiser that was used to score a lot of DBZ. Definitely feels retro in some parts

This track is a masterpiece, the part composed by Mike captures the essence of what the Spirit Bomb means, hope, the hope of the universe, the contribution of vital energy of all living beings to defeat Frieza. 2:04 - 3:00 is my favorite part, it's very emotional. While the part composed by Scott is a representation of what the Spirit Bomb is, a powerful technique, created by a god (King Kai) designed to be controlled by the pure-hearted ones, while the evil ones cannot evade or deflect it. Gladius, you have an amazing talent for this! I hope you will gain more popularity with each remake you do. I don't know if you're interested in doing a remake of an unreleased track of Kai, "Gohan's Awakening" that only played in the Japanese Kai in episode 92 and never had an official release because of the Yamamoto's scandal. I think there is a great potential at that track.

Your description of each composers contribution to the piece is perfect. You understand it very well. When I hear that part at 2:04 I always see those little creatures on that other planet somewhere giving their energy to the spirit bomb. Something about it always feels so moving to me, that even the most evil and seemingly unbeatable being in the universe could be taken down by something that a little creature like that contributed their energy to :) it’s awesome. Went for a nigh midnight walk. The warmth, the energy, the feels, the power and the clairty was mind blowing; like I was tripping but everything was aligned, accessable and righteous! I was home! I liked the little 'native/namekian' type instruments you put into it too. This is a beautiful soundtrack! And what elevated our experiencing back when. Why is it that every piece you put out, GLADIUS, is always giving me chills, like no matter what. Fast paced, aggressive, punchy? Chills. Slow, deliberate, weighty? Chills. Like you have this down to a science, man. And it's funny you said nobody requested this, because the thing is I never know what to ask for because I just can't even imagine how well you make these renditions, and so when you make them, it's always a "well, duh, I should've asked for that sooner", like I would've known how well these would come out. All this to say, you're still doing it, and this really does sound like the remake to a piece about a technique that would(if it worked a little more often) save the universe. It's legitimately building onto the Mike Smith's and Scott Morgan's contributions WITH THE UNDERSTANDING of why they both wrote this piece and what themes it was to convey, and instead of overshadowing it, like a lot of remixes of this song do, it definitely boosts those original tones a lot. Not to deride them, I like every remix I hear of this song, those two knew what they were doing, but I like the focus on it being an attack to SAVE the universe, not just this bomb to kill that guy. It shows you not only try to remake, but understand the vision of the original writers of these pieces and how, if they had your tools and technology, how they would've written these pieces. I think you're a natural at trying to compound this stuff, not only because you understand their thoughts, but also because YOUR PIECES that YOU WROTE are just so good, too. You're not just an artist with one trick, I'm starting to suspect some schooling and/or a lot of messing around in music making software growing up, probably a mix. Regards from one of your favorite fans, and keep this going like usual, your ability to keep me on my toes never fails to amuse and impress me.

Ioannis, I feel blessed to have you discovered my channel, listening to my music and reaching out to let me know how you feel. I don’t believe you’ve ever asked for anything from me, yet you enjoy what I’m putting out nonetheless. Is there anything you can think of in the Dragon Ball / Z / Super world that you’d like to hear? It would bring me joy knowing I could give something back to you! As for understand of Scott and Mikes intentions, I think that music is a language that contains more than just melody, harmony and rhythm but memory, emotion… intention itself. I’m not sure I can say that I fully understand their thought process, even though spending time making these remakes really gets me intimately close with their process, but somehow I can feel intuitively what it is they were going for through the images they’re associated with; in this case, the story of DBZ itself. God, I could go on forever about this topic and this is all making me think I should make a video about one day ;) I never had any formal schooling with music, in fact I dropped out of my music school in high school cos it was too rigid for me. But I have been playing music since I was about 8 and I started officially producing for artists when I was 15 (I’m 31 now). So yeah 😅 I’ve been doing it for a while!

@@GladiusThemes I really like a lot of music that plays for Vegeta. I think his edge really clashes against his rival in Goku, and it's partly why people like him. I know you did that Vegeta medley, and I love it, don't get me wrong, but I was wondering if one of those themes seemed interesting enough to you to do a full one on. I particularly like Vegeta's Theme in Super, it seems interesting in the environment with his other songs, but sticks out in a nice way. There's also your rendition of Ultra Ego you had mentioned in a comment a while back, a theme I am eager to hear to say the least. It's funny you say that you're blessed for me. I get music from a very motivated artist who makes this stuff FOR FREE, with no need for me to do anything but sit around. I am impressed by what you put it out, and how you are not one dimensional or incapable of hitting different tones with your pieces and renditions. I think you do not give yourself enough credit for your abilities in understanding music, because you really do seem to set yourself in those original writer's seats and remake and rescore in a way that amplifies it with technology but still snapshots the particular scene it was written in. I did call that last one, too. Some people are meant for formal education, some aren't, some are better in structure, some aren't. Evidently, I think you avoiding proper schooling was for the best, and it shows that you've been at this for a while on your own and done damned good. I tuned onto one of your Superman scores, and while my knowledge of anything DC is limited, I did feel strongly aligned with a sense of justice, power, and just general benevolence. I think that you have a fair good knack for writing music, because nothing from you even comes out wrong, IMO. Your original stuff, whether fan written or completely original is good stuff, your remakes don't miss the original tones at all, and you know music. Screw the degree, you are most certainly an artist. So long as you keep up doing your damned best(which I do not foresee not happening, you're still hitting everything out of the park here), you'll always get my praise. You are damned good at this and it amazes me how every tone you aim for you hit.

@@GladiusThemes Well it took a bit, but I think I've got a top 5 list for you. I saw a list of ones you said you were making so I left them out (looking forward to Babidi Casts a Spell). I also left out ones I saw others requesting. Plus I already requested Freeza Vs Spirit Bomb, so I'll count that as number one. That being said the other 4 are: -Kid Buu Theme -Energy Disc Music -Supreme Kai's Theme -Serious Suspense/Vegeta's Final Atonement Theme (It's technically an unreleased track although the first half of Trunks Meets Goku has a tiny bit of it. I'm specifically thinking of the version that plays before Vegeta's sacrifice against Buu) Btw, I saw someone request Piccolo vs 17. If you do end up doing that one, it might be interesting to include the unreleased faster version that plays while Piccolo is firing his Scatter Shot. Alright, that's enough out of me. That repeating A note at 1:18 would have worked with a string instrument as well I think. Maybe a contrabass. I like what was done at 1:37 making it a brass section. Those were just some quick thoughts, but overall this remix is excellent. Probably what it would be if the Faulconer Productions score had a higher budget and better quality materials to work with.

One of the best, most sophisticated pieces in DBZ, at times feels like a symphony. I agree, some of Super tracks I absolutely love, but Z had undeniably unique and memorable pieces that never left me since I heard them!
