Even if we scale the rest of the Z fighters so that Tien is able to beat Nappa, they would still need Goku to beat Vegeta. But I can't deny it would be one hell of a an arc if we got to see them hold him back all together.

there's actually a very old dbz game I think for the NES or famicom but it basically retells the sayian/namek arc however it is possible to change the story so different things happen in one instance if you raise goku's speed up a lot during his track back down snake way to get to the battlefield its actually possible for goku to arrive during the fight with the sibamen and as a result of this yamcha survives along with tien (piccolo being the only exception)

Thats the one challenge in story mode where I didnt managed to make it. I was trying to beat nappa only with close combat and just a few Ki blasts and that is nearly impossible. I really had a great time with this game on my ps2 golden memories.

Goku just dips out automatically when you get him down to 40,000 HP, so I don’t think it’s possible. If Broly had an attack that was capable of doing that much damage in one hit it would. Interestingly enough, the same thing happens with base form Cooler and Android 19, but base Goku’s Spirit Bomb is actually capable of landing a sufficient killing blow on them once you’ve charged it up enough, so they can indeed be defeated before they transform.

Yea u have 2 be at full power most the time and then do meteor crash at him. And spirit bomb at him several times and and fly around him and shoot fire balls are him. He is quite a bit of a challenge when your in base form especially when he's in his final form I played it on hard difficulty and lost count how many times I got my ass handed to me but I managed to pull it off lol

Melee damage is so negligible here that the video would be over twice as long and a lot more tedious. You can see at parts like 4:34 that even with the max power endless combo it just slowly chips away at his HP. Nappa also has armor here which means most conventional combos don’t work and you just hit get in return (depleting your health near instantly). If you think you could do this without “spamming”, I recommend you go ahead and post a video of it; it’d surely be a very impressive feat.
