So just to clarify how Gaara got promoted so quickly, the kazekage title is passed through a bloodline (like royalty) and Gaara was the strongest of the 3 siblings. The hokage is decided by the leaf village elders, the current hokage nominates a successor and the elder council then votes the only exception is the 5th hokage, who was voted in by the council because the 4th and the 3rd hokage died before they could nominate anyone.

Man Im excited to see your reaction to Shippuden. Couple of things: 1. Between oriiginal and Shippuden manga there was a canon spin-off about Kakashi called "Kakashi Gaiden", which expands on Kakashi's early years as a shinobi. In anime episodes 119 and 120 cover this spin-off. No idea how this fits in the lists of episodes you can see, but I do think you need to watch these two. When? Maybe between story arcs, maybe when you actually reach this numbering. 2. The ranks of Shinobi maybe a bit confusing and how a ninja reaches it. I cant remember if someone explained it already, so I will just make a reminder then and maybe explain better some things. I wont explain Genins obviously, but Chunin are actually the most common rank of ninja and it's also an end point for promotions for most of ninjas. Jonin are veteran/elite ninjas, this rank is gained for extraordinary achievments on the missions and the ninja's skill, there is no "Jonin Exam". So Ninjas like Iruka will forever be Chunin. Anbu is an Elite Corps of Ninjas, scouted since the Academy times and then trained. They obey directly to Kage and focused on covert operations, as well as they are chosen by the Kage to join the rank. Age, gender, previous background makes no difference with slight exception - the ninja must be at least 13 to join, but even there is an exception - Itachi joined Anbu when he was 11. Kage - well, the point of Kage is been explained thoroughly, so I'll just add that the position is basically dictatorial in a sence that the Kage can sit in the position as long as they like, there are no terms. But the traditions also vary depending on the village. Konoha choses prominent Ninja from their ranks, and Suna (Sand village) is basically inheritance based, since before Gaara it was a son of previous Kazekage that got the title. Gaara was the exception, because he was actually chosen, like Konoha choose their Kage. And usually Kage has a main advisor and a successor always tagging along with the Kage. Example of advisors would be Shizune for Tsunade and Kankuro for Gaara. As fr the successors, there're no great examples of them shown in anime yet, but there will be. What about Sannin you ask? Well, that's not a rank, it's a title specific for Tsuande, Jiraya and Orochimaru. It's not actually a rank that exists within Konoha that can be achieved or gained. Again, this is just a title that those three gained when they fought in a War. Hope this clears things out and will actually be helpfull. Some of this info is poorly explained like how Jonin rank is gained and many people in the fanbase still wonder if there's Jonin Exam or not.

You're damn right Deidara solo-ed the Kazekage (that Kazekage being a young and inexperienced albeit powerful Gaara). Deidara is my favourite Akatsuki member, and one of my favourite characters in the series. He just has so much personality, his fighting style is very unique compared to others in the same show, he has firepower AND wits AND guts, and he's a fricking explosive expert, can't get much cooler than that. His one flaw is that his mentality can be seen as shallow with a lack of character development, but I kinda dig how obsessive he can get with his ideals. I think he's a very charismatic character and deserve some more recognition from the fandom. True Art is an Explosion!

My favorite memory of this show is being 12 in 2007 and watching the finale to part 1 and then getting on KZbin for the first time to see shippuden. They had clips dropped of the flash forward to sasuke only in Japanese. That was my first time watching anything in Japanese. All time favorite show

Hey man, just wanted to say that it's been years since I wanted to watch Naruto again, but don't have the time or patience (I have watched a couple of times already, and the pacing starts to become slow because you're that excited for some key points, and sometimes [e.g Orochimaru finger vs Sarutobi grab] it drags a lot). Along with that it's been pretty lonely regarding specifically friend(s) that share this type of love with me, named specifically Naruto and Death Note, as well as some games (there are very few friends, but with different tastes). I wanted to create a reedited version (a saw a video about it once), and I still want to, but it's a lot of work, and I suddenly got your video suggested about the Rock Lee fight (Top fights of everything), watched the Naruto vs Sasuke, initially just wanted something to passively watch while working, but now I'm watching all the videos and it's precisely what I wanted regarding watching Naruto again and sharing that with someone (that part isn't exactly the same for obvious reasons). All of that to say, I've cried a lot with you watching those videos and I'm super excited to see your reaction to some parts. Like you said once "My mouth is hurting for smiling that much". I 100% agree with your take on the beginning. Every time I rewatch Shippuden I always found so odd the way they decided to start the first episode, like it hurts the start of the show for 2 main reasons: 1.- They spoil you the biggest moment of not even the first, but the second arc of the show, the moment said arc builds up from the very start, this without mentioning that they just throw in your face the new designs of the characters not even properly introducing them to you. 2.-They just skip the characters reuniting like saying "Who cares about that? They already know each other, you don't need to see their reactions" but then, all of a sudden they have a second thought and they decide to now show Naruto's return to the village

As for a question you asked, the cracks in Gaara's face are his sand armor cracking, he used the same move vs Lee and Kimimaro. Gaara's sand armor has always mimicked the appearance of his actual skin when still in tact, so maybe that's why you were confused?
