When the reason behind the 737 MAX issue came out, the first thing that popped into my mind was the DC-10 and McDonnell Douglas. Later, I learned that McDonnell Douglas is kind of running Boeing now, which makes it pretty clear what's happening with them.

I mean, Boeing had its own door problem on the 747 before that merger as well. It's just that they got lucky and it only killed a handful of people instead of causing the same casualty numbers as flight 981.

Hey, Mayday, I know you sometimes read comments. Rather than complain about reuploads, I wanted to ask something: Why are seasons 20 through 24 seemingly unavailable for streaming literally anywhere? You've got up through season 18 here, and up through season 19 on Paramount+, but the most recent stuff is just... unavailable. Is it licensing and distribution?

The heads of both McDonnell-Douglas and the FAA should have faced criminal charges for the Paris crash. Especially since McDonnell-Douglas knew well before the Windsor incident that the door's design was flawed.

The tragic part is that if the pilots on Turkish 981 engaged autopilot, they would’ve been fine. The autopilot’s control cables and hydraulic lines ran on the top of the fuselage. They could’ve done an autoland in that plane (it had an autoland feature).

McDonnell Douglas was bought by Boeing in 1996. Firstly, the deal was done in August 1997, and secondly, we all know who really bought who with that deal.

Why do people act supprised that huge corperstions are proffut over everything? This battle has be fought since the dawn of corporations. Why donyou rhink we have unions, labor laws, safety laws, government oversight and so on? Because a company will not give up proffit unless forced to do so. Even with laws, regulators, wistleblowers, ect they still dont care about anything but money.
