Excellent. My favorite backseater experience was as an 11-year-old in a Central Airlines DC-3 in 1969. It was the mail-run from Dallas to Tulsa which meant a stop about every 30 miles, maybe 7? stops. This video helps me understand how much fun/work those pilots must have had.

Great video, I felt like I was in the cockpit with you guys! When Northeast Airlines was flying, they flew DC 3s. My friends Father worked for them and he took us out to Dow AFB in Bangor (ME) and let us look at the plane. Northeast had an agreement to use a small building and ramp on the base for its' operations. The flew DC 6s as well. Dow AFB closed in 1968 and became Bangor International Airport. Delta Airlines bought out Northeast Airlines. Ancient history now! Thanks!

I love your videos, especially when the DC-3 is involved and respect and admire your safety concerns and educating general aviation personal. That being said, I don't understand why you would enter an active runway before you did your runup checks and setting up the DC-3 for takeoff. We were all taught to do those checks before we entered the runway. Once on the runway we don't dilly dally around, we start our takeoff roll so as not to impede arriving traffic. It did look impressive though.

Love it! DC-3s are my favorite type of aircraft ever. And N18121 of Aerometal International LLC in particular is my single favorite. I know her more as N136PB of Naples Airlines & Provincetown-Boston Airline (PBA) when I worked with them as MIA Station Manager in the early 70's. Flown as pax and as flight attendant a couple of times. And have actually helped load N143D at BNA as a cargo charter a few years later. Somewhere I have a few pics of her on the BNA cargo ramp.
