Please look at some of the new builds and Fairfax,, Arlington, Alexandria because they’re running specials and you’ll most likely get what you want for the price you’re willing to spend. Eisenhower in Alexandria has a few new buildings, which are close to the metro , grocery store, the highway, and quick easy access to DC and Maryland. Same goes for Delray in Alexandria, but that one is by the airport, Metro, Potomac yards shopping center, and Pentagon city Mall. There are a lot of new builds off of Columbia, Pike and Arlington, and new builds and Clarendon, Ballston, and maybe a few in the courthouse Road/Rosslyn area. In Fairfax is always building something.

A 2 bedroom would be ideal. If I didn’t have a child and was an influencer, I’d have a two bedroom so I can have an office away from my quiet places like my living room and bedroom. Plus its extra storage, can be used as a closet, filming, your desk, package opening, etc. Then at a certain time you could close that door and “clock out”.
@Dezhia234 ай бұрын
If I can offer some value, if the places you consider have specials, see if they can prorate it over 6-12 months of your lease. Your monthly rent would be lower and the money you have left over can be put in savinvgs. That wajy if you decide to renew your lease or move you'll have extra cushion. Do more research but a lot of apartments will do that. I hope this helps!

I have a TIP tor you… you may already know this BUT it’s great you’re looking at all these places now… if you can, wait until winter and prices on most of these apartments will plummet well into your price range. I live in a “luxury” two bedroom apartment in NOVA that is currently $1,000 more a month than what I paid in December. Prices are highest in warm weather and drop when the weather is cold because less people are moving then.

Kayla please hear me out, I've felt like this since you lived in LA, please start saving up for a HOUSE you can get everything you want and you actually OWN it without paying someone else's mortgage. Even if you don't wanna buy right now, you'll have a niiiiice chunk for when you do want a house whether that's when you get married or not. Think about all the rent youve paid and what you couldve had by now 😭

Not everyone wants or is ready to commit to a house. It’s not just a pay the mortgage kind of situation
@ToriUptown4 ай бұрын
y’all have to stop pushing home ownership on everyone as if it can’t be more $$ than renting. also, a home is more than mortgage (including an interest rate that can fluctuate). it’s that + maintenance + taxes + HOA + insurance + utilities. esp in her desired area. most homes are close to 1M dollars. if she wants to rent for now, so be it. she can still save for a down payment for a future home. she’s only in her early 30s
@silkence95614 ай бұрын
I agree everyone may not be ready to purchase a home. I purchased my first home at 24 and I’ve been renting it out for the last 4/5 yrs. I moved to a high rise at 26 and now purchased my second home at 30. In 4 yrs the first will be paid off. POV I was happier in the high rise vs the house at that age. I don’t regret the experience and she won’t either we all are on our own time.

I’m just coming across your videos but I hope you see this before you sign a lease. For the amount you’re looking to spend in rent, you could rent a townhome or even a house in va or md for that amount and get more space. I’m just saying. I hope you see this. Btw, as a government employee, we don’t get paid a lot. That’s why we don’t live closer or in DC. Again, I’m just being realistic with you.

You are being very picky and you should be when you have to pay so much money. I think you need to see what is the most important and what you will be okay if you don’t get it. Also, with your dog, most male dogs always hold their pee and that is why you are going out a lot more than if you had a girl dog.
