I’ll add my 2 cents… cut the wires so that they aren’t even with each other before soldering the clips on, it will lower the chance of them touching and shorting out the wall wart. Keep the vids coming!

I have that adjustable one from Amazon and i use it all the time, great for fixing battery powered toys or troubleshooting things with wall warts. Never thought to use it for electrolysis good call

yeah I made the video a couple days ago and then realized it would work for electrolysis and added that part into the video!

EDIT: I think if you look, the little green connector is a breakout connector with screw terminals so you can wire it more securely than just the alligator clips. Also the dual filament bulb with one good filament could be salvaged by using solder to bridge the contact on the bottom of the bulb. ... I use a combined power supply (variable)/ hot air station/ soldering station that I have for test power I think I can crank it up to well over 30v. Also also I have a portable Eco-flow for my 12v & 120v needs. I guess I could use your arrangement while I'm in the driveway with either an extension cord or the Eco-flow. Thanks for the content. The voltage on that brick supply being higher than advertised does not surprise me at all; it probably has linear regulators inside which require a minimum load in order to produce the correct voltage. If you check the voltage while it is attached to an incandescent bulb I'd bet it's a lot closer to the listed voltage.

TBH I use a 9V battery for testing 6V and 12V bulbs.

yeah I'll test it that way. I bet it comes down. Also yeah 9v on a 6v bulb is not going to hurt it.
