impressive figure and I completely agree with the nostalgia, dc has been releasing a lot of figures this year for 2015, from the animated series to the movies like justice league wars/public enemies and even some what ifs artist concepts!!! very very excited!!! even the cw shows figures like THE FLASH/GREEN ARROW

Great review!!!! I love this version. My old one from the 90's that you have broke and decided to replace it with this awesome fig. Although I'm retired officially, I had to replace my old one no doubt. Same goes for Robin. Difference with Robin is Robin's all scratched, dinged up, and cape is worn and torn.

Amazing figure, nice and sturdy. I do miss the 2nd cape option and the boot swivel TNBA fig had but the stronger plastic is great and the hip pin holes are filled in now thankfully, looks tons better. I just got the Riddler as well, very nice too. Nice review bro!

I never understood what the peg holes were for. As a kid i always thought that there was a playset that was sold seperately that you could plug them into but that wasnt always the case.

They should've gone with ball-jointed knees; it would've allowed for more range of motion & poses to make up for the restricted hip joints.

For some reason I find something off about this Batman figure, like the new Batman adventures figure does really look like from its series. This one doesn't a bit? I think its the eyes, the eyes are supposed to be a bit bigger. He has the adventure series eyes and not the animated series.

+STOPMOTION SHOW --- No its not the upper or for sure its not the height as he stands taller than the Robin figure and scales with Joker one. But looking at animated series pics and new adventure series pics and comparing, its definitely the eyes, seems that they got it backwards. The new adventures eyes should be on this one, animated series. And this one's eyes should be on the new adventures figure.

+sonicrockmanx The original figure is actually better proportioned compared to the new in terms of overall body. It should be more squat with big torso and shorter legs (they probably stretched out the proportions to make him taller than the other figures in the line). They should have made the ears thin and longer with the front curving forward but the back curving straight up. Eyes should be bigger and the head more stylized to resemble the overall taller rectangular form. The inside shape of the arms could be similar to the tnba figure too. The trouble is bruce timm stylized different parts of the body depending on which angle you were looking at the character. The punchy colours are great though.

cool video shartimus im still waiting for mine to ship out from big bad toy store ive had it preordered for a while i had to get this one for my batman collection i grew up with this show and i still want that vintage one XD i actually hope we'll get a justice league unlimited one sometime down the line because i liked his design in that show alot too with the huge ears and id like a batman beyond as well but anyway keep up the awesome videos

REALLY looking forward to this one! I still haven't bought anything from this series yet, though I'm chomping at the bit for this one, Joker, and Riddler. These "fancy" type figures always worry me, though. Like with the previous Batman you showed - he drops once and ANYTHING scratches or rubs off on him. They look beautiful, I just hate feeling like I have to be a surgical perfectionist to even hold 'em. Nonetheless, I don't think I'll be able to stay away. Something that just JUMPS off the screen like that is exactly what I want; fancy or no. Great review, as always, thanks!

I just have one question if you could please answer shartimus or anyone else who has this figure. Are the ankles designed different from the first batman release? I bought 2 of the first ones and the ankles broke on the first one taking it out of the package. The 2nd one lasted a tiny bit longer but both ankles broke on it too. They seem very brittle are these more durable do they seem better designed?

w4t3rw4g0n hi I got my batman from the mask of the phantasm 2 pack that batman figure is very good quality and face sculpt is better and my little brother steals it of me then bangs batman on on multiverse superman I have had this for 3 months now and no paintchip and braking if u want the set try find it on eBay for cheap I got mine at b and m for £10.00 I don't know i we're u live and if u have that shop try find it but the figure is the re released version with better head sculpt and joint. peace

LAST!!!! Sorry, I couldn't resist due to Scott's stupid post. Anyway, I think the sculpts are fantastic, but I really can not say I want to get myself into this line. The lack of articulation does bother me, especially after having the Icons line. on the other hand, BTAS was based on my favorite era of Batman comics (the 70s), so they have a ton of characters and stories adapted from that ere, which kind of makes me want to get these. Plus, I'm sure there are characters DC will never get to with the Icons line such as Talia, Ventriloquist and Scarface, Bullock Gordon, etc.

These things look fantastic... but the build quality is a problem... My New Adventures model's arm snapped off because I dared to pose my possible figure. Oops. I gave up trying to fix it and now it's just super glued in place. Won't be doing to much posing, but they look great, even in basic profile poses.

These figures have been so disappointing in terms of articulation. Then again I'm functionality over form and rather have him more possible than just looking nice.. Then again we get great looking, articulated figures from S.H. Figuarts and Marvel Legends that don't sacrifice form for function or vice-versa.

+MCwhite Studios Not really. The Batman Adventures one is perfect of The Batman Adventures. This one just (BTAS) just didn't get it quite right. I cannot wait for the re-issue of the Batman adventures to come out with out the hip pegs.

I LOVE this figure, but I understand your concern with the legs. But I know how to make the legs less stiff, first, just move one leg at a time, then, put him in a sitting pose and leave him in it for a while, (preferably put him on like a mini speaker for your smart phone) then carefully straighten his legs out, and you shouldn't have any more problems. ^^

The head on this figure is not the one that was originally advertised. You can tell from DC's site and that insert you showed off. Come on DC, the Robin figure was so perfect. I want to buy this so much but that head is not right.

no boot swivel?? wow!! I find that most of these figures in this line are a big miss, as good as some of them look the are lacking in so many other areas! I'm kind of disappointed in this line, it could've been the crown jewel for DC Collectibles but they dropped the ball! I do like this version of Batman he goes really nice with the new Batmobile which I must say is the best thing to come out of the line, the did an amazing job on the Animated Batmobile! now that I have this Batman version and the Batmobile I think I'm done with this line, not one of these figures is worth the $24.95 US price tag.
