Vampires already get an automatic strength increase due to their nature. Make someone who has super powers into a vampire.... they'll be multitudes stronger than a normal vampire.

No most of them are weakend and can be bit that way, only way superman got taken is because of the kryptonite dust that Batman used in the first place trying to stop him, not knowing that he was still good and the two people with him were not. Those two being Wonder woman and Hal Jordan, but but we all know that even if a human has kryptonite he can make Superman bleed from a punch, why not be able to puncture his skin with a bite.

The fact that they never showed how so many characters became vampires sucked, I mean a lot just show up as vampires- it never showed who turned them or how? Did they loose in battle and get forcibly turned, did Green Lantern ambush and hypnotize some and turn them that way like he did Poor Wonder Woman? Did some heroes just throw in the towel when the world fell apart and let themselves be turned/basically turning traitor? It’s never shown or explained. It’s also never explained why the heroes turn totally evil in like minutes after becoming vampires- it made no sense🤣🤣🤣

It may not exist or be the same in this universe. Elseworld stories exist outside of main cannon and most of them exist just for fun concepts and not really having any kind of deeper meaning or under tones. The main reason this story exists is to see characters as vampires and that's pretty much it, it's best and easier to enjoy if you just take most Elseworld stories at face value.

While the concept is entertaining, it doesn't make any sense given the established rules of the DC Universe. You have to make a ton of allowances for this to work. While it's not uncommon, I have a hard time believing that characters that have been around for nearly a century are going to lose in the end or that there will be any lasting effects. By comics logic wouldn't Superman be immune to vampirism considering he's absorbed x amount of solar energy since he's been on earth? Let alone having nearly unbreakable skin. I don't quite understand how Cyborg can be affected either, there's not enough organic material to make a difference. Martian Manhunter, why would a human disease work on him? Not to mention his powers would help him avoid being touched at all. There's way too much to get into.

Superman completely breaks this story. No vampire fang is piercing his skin and all the powers(speed ,strength,senses)any vampire possesses is dwarfed by Clark’s. His blood would most likely melt any vampire that attempted to drink it and it’s debatable that a vampire can even be in close proximity to a living solar battery. He’s more of a vampire slayer by default than Blade is on purpose.

Superman turning into a vampire doesn't make sense on so many levels. Saying they block out the sun to weaken him and Supergirl is a good way to keep them sidelined. However, I would doubt being exposed to kryptonite for a few seconds would leave him THAT weak to be bitten. The concept is cool, but could be written better.

Why didn't Mary Marvel simply fly Supergirl up to the sun? And the Spectre was around too. He is nigh omnipotent. He could have simply caused the atmosphere to clear to allow sunlight through or he could have brought Supergirl to the Sun. For that matter he could have turned every vampire to ash with just an idle thought.

Honestly, I don’t think any other comic book has made me say, “Make it make sense!” as much as this one. The logic (or lack thereof) in many of the storytelling choices, like which characters were turned or certain characters’ outright stupidity, was baffling to me, and this ending, if one could call it that, lacked any sense of real closure and made so many characters’ sacrifices pointless. When and if they make a sequel, it needs to be shorter. I can’t go through another twelve issues of this.

It's sorta like a mental compulsion for some but mostly the change of morals i think, at least that's the way it seemed to me. Since many do turn and instantly follow but others do there own thing either neutral or hostile to the vampires. . The actual compulsion power would be a different side we didn't get much about that really just that it can even work on those like WW but we don't know if it's limits and stuff.. i mean Nightwing is one of those 'the best of us' characters, and we hear about humans mostly being left alone because of Mary. So maybe there's something more to it they didn't get into. In it's defense though even the main story was a bit on the rushed side lol. But currently i think I'd agree feels like there weren't enough uhh ill call 'em "free agent vamps" running around. Edit: forgot to mention, but to the last part yeah they definitely appear to be the same people still.

If one’s willpower is strong enough, they can overpower the ring’s programming. When Hal was possessed by parallax, he was able to Jill himself. And the Darkest Knight Batman with his ring, his willpower allowed him to do WHATEVER he wanted

Most of Hal's life functions ceast to exist when he was turned so the ring should have left him. Also, the rings have failsafes in place for when a Lantern tries to use Lethal Force unless authorized by the Guardian's of Oa.

The main series is James Tynion & Matthew Rosenberg, Rosenberg did the one shots and co-wrote all out war with someone else. As for starfire I remember her escaping with Batwoman in all out war and then never hearing from her again

Wow, seriously? They are scraping the bottom of the writing barrel these days, I've read stories by first graders that were less self contradicting. Near the end she escaped. Near the beginning she was part of the vamp group that captured Damians team. There was a bit about how her blood made the vamps immune to sunlight then Damien killed her but was burned badly by the backlash of her death (defeat?) before Dick let him and Alfred go..... Then later she was suddenly not a vamp, immune to it in fact, and prisoner of Baron Cinder. All. Over. The. Place.

Batmans detective work is showcased very well in this. also at first you'd think wow a vampire superman thats powerful, but then you think about it , he is already much more powerful and the weaknesses he would get as a vampire would out weigh any perks. I mean right now its kryptonite or Magic as a vampire its that plus holy water, crosses, maybe direct sun light so his Kryptonian side would only be able to feed off the solar light reflections in moon light and earth shine. There's no real up side.Same with Wonder Woman and a ton of other supers.

Some people are taking this too seriously, come on people it's an Elseworld story it's supposed to be fun and not carry some super deep meaning or conform to the main universe. It's so we can see DC characters as vampires that's it, just sit back and have fun there's no need to question tings soo deeply. Wait im confused... Didn't Damien shove a wooden state into a vampiric Starfire in an issue. Now she's back and they went back to saying she can't turn. Also In in the first issues of this series I assumed they drained her of all her blood which is how Nightwing was able to pass all of batman's various tests but killed her because obviously if shes a serious threat to them, but ig it makes more sense they'd keep her alive to keep using her blood to get rid of their weakness. Okay so... Jenna one half of the wonder twins. Like okay she suddenly gets the power to transform without her brother cool. Unexplainable but cool but then she turns into the form of water to fight Aquaman. LIKE HOW STUPID CAN YOU BE?! but besides that, He somehow kills her... Like yea he can control water but like... How can you kill water? Sure you could rip her apart while she's in the form of water but she should just be able to put herself back together because she's y'know... Water. I mean she was literally swallowed by supergirl earlier and that didn't kill her so why would getting dispersed kill her. Also why was there blood when he dispersed her? she's just water! Ooh... It was a fake out... That entire segment was so dumb. Seriously what was with the blood splatter then?

For Vampires working against Vampires I think it makes alot of sense I mean the whole story started out with a Vampire trying to warn everyone of what's to come. Also yeah I find it strange that Vampires can not only Turn Kryptonians into them but also Martians but not Tameriain's is pretty weird but maybe they can turn most races into vampires as long as their blood doesn't allow for UV ray light into it.

D Wayne having more willpower that Hal Jordan being one of the biggest WTFs. ... There's garbage filler in there meant only to add page count like the bit with Deathstroke trying to save Batman being a power play??? What even was the point of that, since they killed the council pages later? ... It was only a year and somehow there is a whole underground city and massive people farms and Baron Cinders castle... Then there's questions of how Dick passed all Batsies vamp tests... The whole thing reads like some run on story by a five year old. Things happen because the writer wants them to not because there's a logical narrative reason. It is a shitshow of terrible writing.
