Loving this story! Happy to hear it read here, but also a little sad to see it end. On a side note, it reminds me of a story (fanfic) I wrote years ago about two universes in the Tenchi Muyo story (back in 2000 or so). One of Delight and one of Torment, basically a dark world where evil always wins and a light world where good triumphs. Maybe that's why I liked this story so much. :)

Ok I believe that not only of course BML is coming back but so are the rest of the 5 other Dark Knights. Let me explain with Dawnbreaker and Merciless we don’t get a crystal clear idea or sight how they were beaten if at all, the Devastator gets punched by Superman but from what I could gather not to the point where he’s nothing but a gray smear on the ground, Murder Machine gets smashed or digitized by Hal I couldn’t really tell due to all that was going on. Drowned gets stabbed through the gut much like how Aquawoman was by Aquaman (oh the irony I guess) but Bruce himself has survived much worse so if he can chances are pretty high Bryce can too. Plus honestly while the Dark Knights put most of their chips in Barbatos’s basket at the end of the day they are still Bruce/Bryce so they must’ve at the very least considered the slim chance they and Barbatos would be beaten so while Barbatos is locked up the 5 of them probably “limped” away to lick their wounds to probably get there revenge on their counterparts. Which all and all I wouldn’t mind an arc in either say for example Green lantern or Aquaman and the other Dark Knight counterparts have a story of revenge against Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Cyborg, Superman, Aquaman separately leading to a final confrontation between Batman and the One Who Laughs. I only bring this up because in an interview right around the conclusion of either Dark Nights Metal three or four Scott Snyder said and I quote “While Barbatos himself will be defeated and gone after Metal wraps up the Dark Knights themselves are a whole other story”, end quote. Indicating that the Dark Knights will probably come back wether for one last confrontation or as recurring villains for their Justice League counterparts who can say other then Snyder himself? I for one would love to see how the Knights adapt to pretty much their new environment and it’s people as not only have they lost their chance for Barbatos probably bringing back their respective worlds and loved ones, but now they are no longer anywhere near the Dark Multiverse so if/when they come back they will probably be not as strong or confident as they were during this whole event. And who knows perhaps the prolonged exposure to this “light earth” will slowly transform some of them into light versions of themselves much like how Red Death briefly was.
