The ankle pivot is the motion not the joint itself, you put the ball moving to the side and you get the ankle pivot

I think the Toddfather is releasing all this figures for love to art, he maybe earns very little money from them but while they can pay the rents and his employees, I suppouse he makes enough proffit from other of his bussineses

little known fact about this color of Azrael in armor is that it’s the same figure as the Silver Knight armor and recolored in black and gold let alone his action comic variant is gray gold and blue other variant of the collectibles version is the same with different shades of the same colors to that one theirs an Arkham City version of him in white red and black then theirs his White Templar variant in white with a bit of red and black in it then theirs his first suit of curse of the white knight in red and gold which you showed in this side by side with his black and gold variant of the silver knight armor

Good review ice fig though can you imagine it if it had a wash to remove the plastic look asking alot I know the scouts themselves are a one off I never liked the previous Mattel line but these ones are creeping into my collection

I had the same problem on the shoulder peg with my Devastator figure.. literally was frozen and wouldn’t move, had to boil water to finally loosen

Another great review and another great figure from McFarlane. i notice you complain a lot about the round wrist and feet joints in McFarlane figures and call them uglu but Mafex have the same joints and you do not complain about those, yes Mafex figures are higher quality but same joints, shouldn't Mafex joints be ugly too? double standard? keep up the great work.

Great review! Don't stop calling out those stupid ball joints. It is not a modern ankle pivot because you lose simultaneous forward and backward foot movement. Honestly, the way Mcfarlane is doing ankle articulation is archaic at best. There are too many good examples of how to do proper, useful ankle articulation for them to be implementing this. Besides this cheap flaw, McFarlane Toys still has the best $20 action figures today. He knows how to do proper ankles, see the kickstarter spawn for example.

I liked your video, but why did you make a reference to that clunky 12 inch Wolverine figure? The 6 inch Wolverine would have been a better example. I mean, no offense, but I just don't enjoy looking at delicate 12 inch figures.

The thing that bothers me from Macfarlane Is that there's too much Batman figures, damn , right now we have like 10 already , AND no Aquaman, no Hal Jordan Green lantern, no Martian Man hunter , etc. I hate all these dark charcaters, Cleary they have a spawn influence on all this.

According to my simple minded math, after 5000 figures the cost of the mold should be covered already. And I'm guessing that 5,000 figures is any half a day of the week's sales for such a worldwide renown brand as DC's IPs... Todd has always been a business man first and foremost. We can only hope he doesn't drown the license in endless batmen no one has ever heard about, though... What we can also tell from this approach to the license is how full of half truths Mattel commonly operated in regards of investing more in their sculpting for a variety of characters... Always finding ways to reuse, instead of providing collectors with better renditions of their heroes... Don't you think?

This was a Target exclusive, I picked it up over a month ago and I still see them on the pegs. The Joker and Flash from this wave are nowhere to be found and didn't come out according to the people that stock those shelves. This one is up on Amazon for per-order right now for $20 and comes out at the end of the month thru them now. I've found 2 of the Metal wave at one particular Wal-Mart those seem to be much harder to find. The way they are distributing these figures are nonsensical. The woman that was stocking the shelves said they aren't getting new shipments of figures until they sell some of the ones they have on the pegs now and the figures are marked down to $15. They have 10 of each Wonder Women that have been there for months.

it looks like Target is getting different waves than Walmart, i seen TT Cyborg at Walmart and Dark Metal figures but not at Target and what ever i find at Target i don't find at Walmart.

@@johnb.8977 We don't have ThinkGeek around where I live in Illinois, but I'll check out GameStop. The three GS around here have only had wave 1 so far. I think the "exclusive" thing by McFarlane is a little misleading, it's just certain stores get first crack at the various waves then they are available elsewhere.

And why he keeps pounding batman figures out Ya know we forget mcfarlane toys isnt like Mattel or hasbro with a bagillion OTHER HUUUUUGE licenses to fund stuff. There is no hot wheels kr transformers that is a giant cash cow so the new line can fire up and sustain itself. So as much as i want firestorm and jonn jonnz... I doubt very much it cost him $100,000 per figure just for tooling. He still has to pay for paint, assembly, packaging and shipping. Plus he don't get $20 per figure that's just retail.

Fact check: false. Mattel went through so many Batman toylines before getting to DC Universe Classics. And even then, Batman received a ton of figures when compared to other heroes. And Mattel's DC Multiverse toyline was also mostly Batman figures, especially in their 4 inch line.

@@nhyar Exactly. I only got a couple Mattel figures and thought they were so horrible I just didn't collect any DC figures until McFarlane started doing them. Now I have almost everything McFarlane put out but the goofy cartoon figures.
