Paul Dini (I'm sure you know his credentials) said that for some film thing, maybe during the nolan movies, some Producer asked him to be part of the writing staff with no pay. As though it were a privilege for him. The people in charge literally are decades behind the reality. Ike Pearlmutter, previous chairman and ceo of Marvel Entertainment (as in the conglomerate that owns the movie people, the comic people, the toy people, etc) who was in charge for decades, has been an infamously idiotic asshole with numerous bizarre comments both prejudiced and stupid. There are probably youtube videos about it. I can't emphasize enough that the people in charge are jokes. They're clueless boomers.

+Nathan DeField In Arrow seasons 1-4 Oliver is growing into becoming 'Green Arrow'. Season 1 & 2 he was just "a vigilante/the hood". Season 3 he was "The Arrow" and now recently in this season (4) he was given the name. In each season you could see the growth. Still, the character in the show is still growing. It'll be a time he'll probably become comic book Green Arrow.

It took me a long time to get this one line that Perdita says: "Every queen needs a consort." And Oliver confirming that "Every Queen does"...it just hit me that he's referring to both himself and Black Canary,, since Queen is his last name and Dinah is his queen. That's perfect.

That fight scene on the conveyor belt was surprisingly realistic, gritty, and entertaining all at the same time. They used almost entirely real fighting techniques with accurate boxing, kick-boxing, wrestling, and jiu-jitsu all put together. As a martial arts fan, I wish they used more stuff like this in live action choreography.

So, the dude who directed this is directing Into the Spider-Verse 2. He's also won an Emmy for his work on the last two episodes of Avatar The Last Airbender. And he's also directed Jonah Hex and The Spectre, two other fantastic DC Showcase shorts, as well as half of Justice League Unlimited. If I didn't know any better, I'd say that the sequel is in good hands.

+aderose Weissman did indeed do the writing. The direction, however, was done by Joaquim Dos Santos, who is more famous for spearheading many episodes of Avatar: The Last Airbender as well as The Legend of Korra. This sort of team up is typical, seeing Joaquim Dos Santos is a brilliant animator, contrasting Weissman who isn´t an animator, though is a formidable writer

I already imagine the plot: count vertigo tries to assassinate the princess and keep the throne to later turn it into a political refuge for multiple villains, so green arrow and black canary rescue and protect her, the count makes the media believe that they kidnapped her and puts them of villains, with the authorities and other heroes behind them, both heroes must protect the princess and solve the case

I know this is "Green arrow spotlight" but can we just talk about her royal highness for a sec? In 24 hours she lost her father, became queen AND orphan SIMULTANEOUSLY (her becoming queen = her mother died who knows how long ago. At least a while before her father), is running away from an uncle that wants her dead, knows first aid, doesn't need fairytale metaphores but still reffers to Green Arrow as "Robin Hood" (which is a pretty badass nickname in my humble opinion) AND ON TOP OF THAT plays "wingman" when Green Arrow proposes. Okay it's not like Black Canary was gonna say no, but it's still cool knowing you got some royal blessings. They weren't, that's the problem, for one thing they didn't't know who was going to be in the grave until a few episodes prior and then it was just about filling it out, and her their reason for killing of Laurel, they had no more story for her, wich is bs, but then again they didn't wanna make her a meta human because they wanted some realism, in a show where people can be brought back life and Magic is introduced and they fight of meta humans and they fight aliens, but the truth of the matter is, season 4 sucked wich most people agree with, but the good writers left after season 2 to go write for the flash and we were stuck with Marc Guggenheim and Wendy Mericle, but just recently Stephen Amell talked about how important the Black Canary is to the green Arrow, although there has rumors going around that there will be a new Black Canary wich is just horrible, there is just one Black Canary and that's Dinah Laurel Lance, i may not read Comics but i know that friding a female lead in favor of ship is not good, and i know that she had potential, but there is a way to bring her back.

This is such a phenomenal animated short. It looks amazing and is the perfect level of intensity in terms of violence and peril. Plus it's really amazing storytelling too boot, it tells you everything you need to know about these characters in only 10 minutes even if you've never heard of Green Arrow in your life. KON- EL Arrow has only used Ra's Al Ghul and the Huntress storylines from Batman. What other villains are you talking about? Deathstroke is a Teen Titan villain first from the comics. And Deadshot is a Suicide Squad member. Meryln, Count Vertigo, Brick, the 99% of the white collar villains are Green Arrow's.

Green Arrow & Black Canary are 1 of the most iconic comic book power couples in comics history & yet this animated short is shockingly the only time the ONLY frickin' time they've ever been portrayed as a couple outside of the comics at all!!! So they just turned Green Arrow into him. From what I've heard about the show even some stories are straight from Batman and his inner circle. The problem for me isn't even that it's Dark. Green Arrow has its dark moments. The problem is that Oliver lacks any real heroic...anything to him. He feels like a generic Batman/Punisher wanna be. See, while I'm a fan of Batman, instead of him growing into Arrow he starts to grow into a tremendous hypocrite. He likes to keep secrets, and then hates it when other people do. Don't give me any shit about Green Arrow being bland in the comics. Green Arrow not only had a vibrant personality, but had opinions about the issues of today, politics, morality, judging whether a Decision to make is the right one, and in the words of JLU, he cares "for the little guy"; and the most important thing is that he had heart. Yes there were times that he was dark, and that he killed people, but he rose from it. While Arrow does try to state that Oliver stands for the little guy, it's shown to the audience that he's doing it based on selfish guilt and promises that he makes to others. This would be tolerable, but the problem is that this is the only thing that makes his character and motivation, with a lack of detail. At least Batman has not only his parent's death, but his obsession with order, the fact that he will never take a life, his part is, how pragmatic he is, how his keen mind helps him, his methodical approach to the world and to crime, and the fact that he is a father (adopts except for Damien and the Outsiders). Arrow started out okay with Oliver Queen's character, I see what they were trying to do. But there were many problems: 1). Oliver Queen takes a lot of his development from a poor representation of Batman. He has Batman's obsession with secrets and plans, but fails to act or actually plan. He has a team that follows Batman's to a T. Felicity=Oracle, Diggle= Alfred/Nightwing, Roy Harper/Arsenal= Red Hood with Tim Drake, Thea Queen =The only one somewhat close to her supposed counterpart, she acts a little more like an amalgamation of Speedy, Red Hood, and Mia Dearden. 2) Oliver turns into a hypocrite, as well as everyone around him. He keeps hiding things and then saying it's necessary, while people do the same thing around him and he criticizes them for it. Also extends to his teammates. He also criticized the Huntress for killing people while he does the same thing (I get that it's the whole motivation behind it that makes it wrong idea to that, but Huntress literally was killing assholes like he was doing). Another problem the show has is that all of its main villians are the same villians (in terms of seasons as a whole, not major villians who then become minor like Brick or Cupid). Malcolm, Ra's, and Damien feel almost exactly the same. Deathstroke felt a little different, but was just meh. Still a more accurate portrayal than animated Teen Titans. Malcolm Merlin literally had the same goals as comics Ra's Al Ghul on a lower scale. Ra's Al Ghul in the Tv Show...we'll talk about him later. Damien was okay, there are some major plot holes concerning him. He literally could have won without even messing with Oliver and his team. Another major problem is that the changes to the characters were not needed. Why change Count Vertigo? Why add Teen Titans and Batman villians like Anarchy, Deathstoke, Damien, & the HIVE? (I can't entirely oppose this idea, but many of these changes don't even make sense other than to appease fans, it works well in some ways and fails in many others), why make Deathstroke fall in love with Shado and that be the reason why? Deathstroke hardly even showed attraction to Shado. He just seemed there to appease the fans of the comics mostly. Also they don't treat his character well in the narrative, because they tease his son Joey, tease Ravager without having her there, and have him be Austrailian intelligence (not really bad though, just weird).
