It's a step in the right direction. A logo shows what they're aiming for. The last one showed literal darkness, showing how the DCEU was aiming for a darker way of storytelling. While, the 2005 logo was the one that I got familiarized the most, its great that they brought back the classic bullet logo from the 70s. It shows that if it ain't broken, then don't fix it. Having an actual fan of the source material like Kevin Feige did wonders for Marvel. If it was someone overseeing everything that just saw it as a job and wasn’t into marvel all that much wouldn’t have worked as well as it did. Not having a role like this was part of why the DCEU didn’t work that well. No one knew where everything was heading. They had a fantastic cast of talented actors who despite criticisms in intial casting like Gal Gadot and Ben Affleck gave some memorable performances and portrayals, however the creative team was not up to par and they just kept throwing things at the wall to see what sticks. Now with James an actual comic book reader and also very talented writer/director I finally have hope that my favorite comic book universe can be made into a successful cinematic universe. There are so many parts of the dc universe that is virtually untouched in the live action movie department especially the occult side aka the justice league dark side of thing so Constantine, Swamp Thing, Etrigan etc. and I can’t wait to see them tap into that. The magic side of dc is also vastly different from marvels like for example constantine is part supernatural horror part Neo noir or swamp thing which is more monstrous. I just know James isn’t just gonna focus on Superman, Batman and friends but much more.

That was the beginning of their downfall. They really were pegged into a corner. Criticism of being too dark and edgy, so they had to lighten up. Then, they were copying the MCU formula. They were set up to lose, and rushing the Justice League movie.

I want to see their cinematic universe expand and create magical stories and legacies with their superheroes. I never took Justice League seriously even after watching Snyder Cut but hopefully it changes now.
