Adkins is still my pick to this day. He’s a little on the older side now and hasn’t had the big roles but he has the look, physicality, and actual martial arts skill to be able to do the stunts. He’s my dream Batman over literally any of these other guys. But I know Gunn unfortunately won’t pick him. Deathstroke is a good mention though and I could see him pulling that off.

I am going to be honest: Since David Corenswet is being cast as Superman, finding someone lesser known for the Dark Knight is something I am a bigger fan of. In all honesty, my favorite name thrown around is Ethan Peck, grandson of legendary actor Gregory Peck, whom some artwork of Bruce Wayne was modeled after. Not only does Ethan look the part, but he's physically big, friends with David, and I can buy seeing him going into stories like Court of Owls, Hush, Red Hood, Tower of Babel, Public Enemies, etc etc. I did buy Alan Ritchson for a minute after seeing his physicality in The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, but he'd also make a great Green Arrow going by that performance. Maybe one day I'll do my casting and my version of James Gunn's DCU from what we know so far, but for now, I'm going with Ethan Peck.

For sure, Peck is my choice for DCU Batman as well. Good actor, his work on star trek is great as Spock, he's got the right build (and chin) like you said, he's definitely got the voice, around the right age to look similar to corenswets superman or play a litte older, and he's even said he wants to play Batman, I just hope his agent gets him an audition whenever casting begins

You guys are making a choice without looking at the height of the characters in the comics. In fact, David is 6'4ft and Batman logically should be 6'3ft, and putting Alan as Green Arrow makes him bigger and taller than Batman.

@@imed-ha77 I really don’t like to be so worried about heights of fictional characters but it was weird seeing Bruce be taller than Clark in the Snyder movies And I shouldn’t have a problem with Green Arrow being taller if it’s the right actor for the role But sometimes characters and actors heights and physicality should be considered like ai couldn’t imagine a super tall and muscular actor like Alan Ritchson playing such an agile character like Green Arrow and same when people suggest really tall people to play Nightwing (an acrobat) and Hal Jordan (a pilot) in the real world people in those areas would not be over 6 feet probably (I’m assuming)

Brandon Skenlar is only 33 years old. A Batman that young with Damian Wayne as Robin and a fully functioning Bat Family wouldn't make a goddamn bit of sense. Given every choice he's made so far, I'm pretty sure James Gunn is gonna try to keep things close to the source material. Batman will be in his late 30's at the youngest, early 40's at the oldest. In the Grant Morrison comics that James Gunn is basing DCU Batman on, Bruce Wayne was 42 years old.

@@imed-ha77 nah I think these guys could each do a pretty good job and if I was basing anything off looks it’s that these guys are all still young enough to play a father and be Superman’s peer unlike a Jon Hamm or Jensen Ackles But most importantly it is that they all look heroic unlike a lot of the past Batman actors not that there’s anything wrong with past choices but some of them have gone for a little bit odd like Michael Keaton, Christian Bale and Robert Pattinson I think this James Gunn will be the first to completely show him as the proper hero without hopefully losing what other actors have done in the more serious/grounded versions To conclude I have listed a bunch of tall guys but I think each could do a good job and I’ve seen them be able to play Bruce Wayne and Batman in other roles

I still stand by my old school idea, lets try using two people. One famous name to play Bruce (someone who can do it) and use their stunt double for Batman. Not only do stunt actors still go overlooked in Hollywood, but it would also get rid of the stress of having to play two completely different characters for one actor. Each people would be able to focus all of their time on each character, the famous guy can focus on being the best Bruce Wayne while their stunt double can focus on being the best Batman; and with modern tech you can CGI the same chin for conversation scenes with Batman to make it look more like the famous actor's face.

I like pretty much every actor that people have suggested to play the DCU Batman, but I still fully believe the actor who does get cast will be someone who isn't being fancasted. It's a neverending cycle of fans fancasting actors, then they cast an actor who nobody expects, leading to people going apesh*t (Keaton, Bale, Affleck, Pattinson), and I would bet money the same will happen here (regardless of whether its a known or unknown actor). I strongly feel that James Gunn should cast an actor that he believes in and personally feels is right for the role that they're creating. And that could be Jensen Ackles or Alan Ritchson. Or it could be an actor that you're not thinking of right now....

You know I really wish that there was a live action version of Tim Drake in some way. Just because of how great of a detective, he is and really the spiritual successor boy, the world's greatest detective tile ....and that's almost a direct quote from BoBo T Chimp. I mean, he was able to figure out who the bat family was made out of before introducing himself. All from the humble starting clue of seeing Dick Grayson's robin do an acrobatic movie he recognized from the carnival specifically the smallest of The Flying Graysons. Not only did he figure out who they were before introducing himself, but did it without being detected with no training. Because yes, Damien may be a better fighter Being trained by the league of assassins like his father, Dick has his moral compass, his guidelines and is a natural born leader (yeah know All the straight up hero stuff of batman and none of the anti hero stuff) , and Jason has just been a bad ass ever since he came back to life the first time and has That aspect of batman that strikes fear in many people ( Turns out all it took to make him cool. Was a crow bar in the lazarus pit). But Tim Drake By far gets the best aspect of the batman persona in my opinion. He is the one dad is the world's greatest detective, a chemistry expert, makes gadgets and cars, But most importantly, literally comes up with the contingencies, just like batman does . Tim drake is becoming what we love most about the bat and is also the way to end any Batman argument "because he's batman " . He will one day fully embody "because i'm batman". Think about it

Ethan Peck. He's the grandson of Gregory Peck, who was the likeness that inspired Year One's Bruce Wayne design. He's got the look and height, and he has the voice. Which is something most of the actors listed here don't have I feel. Specifically a deep voice that can be powerful, rather than a whispery tone to lower the voice's pitch like some of the actors before.

David Corenswet is 6’4 so whoever they cast as Batman has to be 6’3 or taller. Batman can’t be 6-8 inches shorter than Superman and be believed to be the superior superhero. It isn’t a solo gig, this Batman has to be able to stand next to Superman. Pretty sure the comic Batman is 6’6 and in elite shape.

There’s 2 camps for Batman. One camp believes Batman should be really built up, power lifter like wrestler, a brawler. The other camp which I may firm believer in is Batman should be lean an Acrobat or gymnast. The reason, why is he created and uses the grappling gun as one of his main weapons. Why not fully utilizing it as more of a gymnast build. I really like Alan. I thought his Hawk in Titans was awesome and reacher was great. However, I believe Jake Gyllenhaal would be what Batman would look more like not built up like Alan. so my belief Jake Gyllenhaal would make a great Batman.

I think I like the idea of Theo James playing the role of batman. I feel like a bit of hair gel and a suit could make him a convincing Bruce Wayne. I do disagree about the age of batman. If we're going to get Damian Wayne then we should remember that we've already gone through Dick Grayson, Jason Todd and Tim Drake. I love the batman reborn storyline and feel like Dick Grayson, who would be in his mid to late 20's would be perfect, but also Jason Todd rescuing Scarlett and being the villain, competing with batman and robin to apprehend professor pig, before Bruce Wayne returns at the end of the film would be awesome, mostly because we've not seen anything like that on screen before.

After watching Boy Kills World, I think I would be happy to see Bill Skarsgard as Batman. He's young enough to be able to play the part for a long time, he's 6'3", can fight and is ripped. What more do we need?

I think Brandon Sklenar would be a perfect cast choice as Batman/Bruce Wayne in my opinion, I know that he's 33 & not in his early 40's, but it'll be a couple years till they'll started filming Batman: The Brave & The Bold. Also they can use makeup to make him look older, like they do with all of the other actors & actresses who played as older characters.
