“Jingle Bells, Batman smells” goes back to at least the early 1970s. I heard it in kindergarten in 1972. Might have sprung up during the Batman TV series craze 1966-68.

Gunn talks about the 70s a lot. The decade he spend his adolescents and preteens in. His core memories. Now that I found that out in recent interviews about the DCU. Helped make sense why his style is the way it is. A modern 70s style aesthetic in his films. Even what he's wearing the small vid that came out with the teaser for the teaser trailer, he's wearing a 70s style sports coat. Each of his movies as this modern 70s touch. The Suicide Squad has this heavy modern 70s style, and I think Superman will have the most we will see. I like it. it fits well in CBMs, it is very comic booky. I'm excited for a better tomorrow.

Jingle Bells Batman Smells has been around since the 60's. It's interesting that nothing is mentioned about Weasel having a new origin story, in the comics he's a serial killer in an outfit. Just as Vigilante is nothing like he is in the comics, Gunn likes to create new characters with already used names. Which of course is a sin when people think Snyder did it but no one says anything when Gunn actually does change things.

P.S. I don't get this thing about Gotham being in my home state of New Jersey. Growing up in the 20th century, I read (?) that Gotham symbolically represented NYC's West Side and Metropolis represented the East Side.

I’m so glad Coi is on the show! I love his optimism and knowledge. Frankey is a great host, but she’s very opinionated and I don’t usually agree with her so the balance from Coi and Tyler is very welcome

Love Coy! And I'm happy he's so excited for C.C. Ep4.....but I just thought it was a regularly good episode, not "the best" lol no shade Feel like I've seen more sad/tragic backstroies than Weasle's like Magneto's daughter and wife being killed in one of the Xmen movies or like the Injustice storyline with Joker tricking Superman into killing pregnant Lois 💔 Not necessarily comparing any of these but like doing this with Weasle while cool, doesn't seem groundbreaking to get all worked up about The Frankenstein "humor" isn't landing to much for me and kind of borderline annoying right now, He's like a one trick pony, just obsessing over the Bride and getting jealous and killing guys over it.... And MAJOR annoying eye rolling moment, seeing Rick Flag Sr. Start out good trying to not get involved with the princess, admittedly kind of funny that they did eventually hook up, BUT NOW he's all sprung talking about "the princess *I know* 😑 wouldn't do all that" bs trying to call and warn her that the squad is coming back to kill her. Like come on dude, risking the fate of the world over a one night stand!? Also, with the prediction.....kind of hard to believe the princess is such a big threat that she takes down every superhero mainly including the Justice League/ Trinity BUT the "Creature Commandos" are going to stop her??? Something's not adding up but I guess we'll see, still enjoying the show so far but it's not knocking my socks off yet.

@ I’m 100% a Superman fan and I’m gonna go see the film, but that suit is ugly. The amalgamation approach was a bad creative choice. The colors are great. The cape is beautiful. The lines, shoulder, elbow and knee pads are ridiculous..looks like a motorcycle suit. It’s too baggy on him and doesn’t make him look super. It’s not comic accurate as he didn’t wear a cloth new 52 suit(it was armor) with the kingdom come S(it’s also too small) and the new 52 suit didn’t have the all star Superman diaper trunks. A more classic(regular neckline) suit with or without the trunks(not the big diaper trunks from all star Superman) none of the lines or pads. Most importantly the suit needs to be form fitting not some baggy motorcycle suit made out of thick kevlar-like material. It’s an ugly Superman suit, possibly the worse one ever in live action. The trailer looks good and I’m excited for the film but this suit (specifically the blue bodysuit) is an abomination. Tyler’s supergirl Superman suit looks better and I HATE the cape clasps on that suit

@ the Cavill suit wasn’t perfect…I wasn’t a fan of the hard cuffs and molding. I also thought the blue was too dark. However his suit made him look like he literally walked out of a comic . It was form fitting and he looked jacked in it, as it evolved it got lighter too. It had a huge S and deep reds. This suit doesn’t fit Corenswet at all. Why put him through all that working out just to make him look out of shape because the suit doesn’t actually fit his body. The costume design is terrible here in my opinion. Hopefully he gets a better suit in future films
