Well I dont think there are any dcuc figures that have been made recently, the line was cancelled a while ago. Unless you are referring to the multiverse figures.

Love this figure, it brings me nostalgia for the vintage Kenner's black Batman released alongside the first Tim Burton's Batman movie.

I think the black background is much easier on the eyes. Black also prevents excessive light bounce which makes it easier to deal with in general, usually resulting in more pleasing predictable results.

Awesome review!!! I loved the DCUC figures then one day they just disapeared. I'm assuming the line got cancelled but I never did investigate to know for sure. I still have a lot of these unopened including the very rare naked cheetah variant. As always thanks for the awesome review.
