Despite how people may feel about how the head articulation works, only a ball joint at the base of the neck and none at the base of the head itself, I think that actually works in the figure's favor. The entirely solid head piece maintains that distinctive Batman head silhouette, the neck or head being as wide as the other. We harp on the cowls of previous live action Batmen giving little-to-no neck movement but when we get toys based on those live-action Batmen that have neck articulation and we feel something is wrong. Adding articulation ruins the silhouette.

This is the first time I’ve ever seen a company raise prices but give more. While they moved Multiverse figures to 22.99, we’re finally getting extra hands and now cloth capes. I’m slowing down on my multiverse purchases but I do appreciate what they’re doing.

Imho I love a cloth cape. They missed with the colors across the board. Neither look particularly good or particularly accurate. They absolutely know how to do a blue black. If you’re doing a repaint, getting the colors right is sort of a big deal. Obviously one set of purple hands is sufficient. Maybe one set of purple, one black, and one blue with each figure, but not that blue. It looks bad and doesn’t match.

This looks exactly like that panel of him standing with his arms crossed on the roof top art. That’s where the blue shading comes from. The only inaccurate thing is the gloves. Other than that though, it looks just like that panel, even down to the blue shading.

That wired cloth cape steals it..McKenner should be using cloth cape with every character that has one- this one looks good - cool review

I have the regular version on preorder but want to get the platinum version for that great black and blue cape. I’ll then remove the cell shading and give the purple gloves to the platinum version to make the best combination.

It's like when Spider-Man wore red and black then later on had the red and blue, However, Batman from his very first appearance looks so cool especially with the head, cape, and of course that wrench 🔧, I may not have him in hand but my friend might get me the McFarlane Toys grey and black suited Hush Batman, Overall, Fantastic review Brad

I honestly prefer plastic capes even if McFarlane Toys makes unnecessary cape flowing postures and some mistakes in the toy packaging. It’s just me

Hope Todd does more of these Mafex style wired capes going forward. We need McFarlane Superman & Spawn figures with wired capes definitely.

This just wasn’t the right body, at least for me Had this been on that Knightfall body it’d be a must get. I quite like that cape and am happy to see a proper big wired cape on a retail mass market figure like this

Thanks for the review! Even though we’ve seen this body multiple times, I think it’s the best it has looked? I think that’s down to the combination of the streamlined arms and boots (it doesn’t have those chunky three jokers gauntlets) but mainly it’s down to the head. It always amazes me how a different head can change an entire figure. I’m not a fan of the first appearance look so I have picked a few of these up for customs and I’m excited to see which batman variants I can make with it. First up, clay mann style batman!

We're seeing some interesting things develop in the world of consumer level figures. While Hasbro has completely embarrassed McFarlane with near perfect wing engineering and design as seen on their new Angel figure (which I have and love to death, and which McFarlane could really learn something), McFarlane is doing something rather unique that Hasbro would never dream of: making clothed capes with posing wires. And it's actually not trash. This first appearance Batman has a pretty darn good cloth material cape. This allows a whole new level of dynamic posing. Thanks for the wrench reference. Never read DT27. Was wondering about that...
