To me. this figure is pretty good. I mean, "some" ppl even said that the crappy "pizza" spiderman was the figure of the last year. Wow!

I did not think they were even going to release this... then they did. I missed my shot to get one. Even after seeing this review I don't want it any less lol. I was quite jealous you had one, then presented another in box lol. I did get the containment suit doomsday (still in box), but I would honestly give it up for this figure. Although, ideally, I would love to have both. My only real issue was the lack of spikes on the shoulders. I haven't checked amazon or anything, but if there are any of these guys, they will probably be ridiculously over-priced, especially considering the laziness in making it.

Despite the scale issues, I think it's amazing! it works well alongside Marvel Select Hulk and it is the only decent looking Doomsday besides the DC Superheroes one and the DC Direct one. It's sucks that the DCUC line ended though..

Totally agree. I wish NECA or MEZCO would pick up both the DC and Marvel licence to make collector grade figures. Ironically Mattel does great with their WWE line so it's pretty obvious this whole DC fiasco was just a money grab. They knew they had a captive audience with the collector "hunger" for a Marvel Legends style DC line and the took advantage. Good riddance.

It's weird because i got both my doomsdays 9 days after i ordered it in NOV. So inconsistent with the shipping and availability. Still like the figure! I can't complain about the lack of detail on the shoulders and the pants. Don't think it's fair to compare a smaller figure to a much larger figure that cost more to make. I do however agree that they should have put the money into the figure over the packaging. My big gripe with this figure is the loose legs. Man they're horrible. Nice review!

i like this figure, no paint issues on mine. i dont care about the height, i still think it kinda works and i think he looks good with other dcuc/dcsh figures. i really dont see why the things mentioned in this video are that big of a deal to you or anyone for that matter but hey opinions, assholes, etc. i usually like your videos(ive been subbed for a year or 2) but good god wipe the tears from your eyes and stop being a girl all your life. i understand the paint issues but the head sculpt is fine. if you honestly believe that dcsh DD has a better one you've got to lay off the crack pipe, i busted out laughing when you had them side by side and said that. but i will give it to you the body mold and paint is much more detailed on the dcsh. also the shoulder spikes on the old one had a lot of collectors complaining about restricted articulation, so i see why they were excluded. dont get me wrong you're one of the better reviewers on YT but sometimes it seems you make mountains out of mole hills, and other times you let actual mountains slide. however, you did make some solid points in this video. well anyway, still a good review nonetheless, keep up the good work

Great review, I'm glad I'm not a MOC collecter because mine came with the ponytail off and the wrist turned 180 degrees. I thought mine had two right feet but I saw yours and how it didn't stand right ether so that may be my problem with the ankle tilts. I'm glad to never buy from Matty ever again. Keep up the awesome reviews.

Unfortunately you are incorrect. The fact that the line died proves that the figures aren't selling. The xmen set is now very discounted and still not selling. The few of us who buy items to review or to complete a collection do not make up nearly enough sales to affect sales patterns.

there's nothing to disagree about. they make thousands of general retail figures and at least more than a few hundred of exclusives. the handful of reviewers and completists do not impact the sales enough to make a difference.

He's too plain and being that large it's extremely noticeable. Hopefully dc collectibles has a go at Doomsday I'll take less articulation for more detail. But the ripped cape feature is dope. Great review.

There is no reason for this figure being as mediocre as it is. It was supposed to be a tier 2 exclusive for the signature series. We supposedly didn't make it. They decided to sell it anyway, they apperently couldn't figure when they were going to release it, because we were supposed to get during christmas. Just all of the things that are wrong with this figure are just inexcusable. Especially for all of the money and time we spent trying to get for the signature series subscription.

Thanks for the review. I for one LOVE the figure. I'm glad I got him. It's a great size, with a great sculpt in a great package. Mine has no issues. I was also able to track down a DCU "75 Years of Super Power Superman" so I'm set.

I feel so left in the dark about Mattel, now I realize all of their cheap choices they make that is ruining the franchise. This review helped shine a light on that, thank you Anthony. I've always wanted a Doomsday figure for my own, but if I got this figure, I'd want to modify it with more spikes, tighten the joints, make that head-piece look less stupid, and add a little more dry-brush. How would you fix the head Anthony?

you cant fix it really. the face is too big for the head and the figure. the glue on part needs to come off and be redone completely... and the flat spot with the hair...thats no easy fix either...now that its done. it would have been easy for them to do it right in the first place...oh well.

Doomsday is way too big. He should be the same size as DarkSeid, slightly taller than superman. I was working on a custom of doomsday using the end hulk and I saw Matty is releasing doomsday, I said to myself, I guess I'll stop working on it...now I might resume. Idk if I'll open mines now. Great review.

I love your reviews but that whole rant wasnt needed. Its not a dc collectables so we expect generic sculpt and good articulation. If you added the shoulder spikes there goes articulation and people would rant about that. And as for the box its an adult collectable so they expect it to stay in package.

Great review. Always good stuff that you post. Regarding the figure itself and more importantly Matty--that's pretty much what drove me away from MOTUC and DC. Matty is an absolute nightmare that just seems to talk in circles and not deliver. I have enough stress, I don't need it in my hobby! Hopefully things will change for them now that Toy Guru is gone.

I got mine Thursday and haven't opened it, and I already have to send it back lol. Mine didn't even have a cape inside. Been a real fun ride with Matty. [sarcasm] It's nice to see I'm not the only one who's upset overall with this figure regardless. I had seen my buddy's outside the box and it didn't impress me and made me a bit bummed out waiting to get mine, since it was already a let down.

I agree completely with your views on this Doomsday. It's rather bland to my eyes, and after looking at the figure for a while, all I can see is a big grey Hulk. As a larger scale figure it *needed* extra detail, let alone missing it.
