It’s so shocking to hear that in America you don’t get the treatment you need because of insurance. I’m so incredibly blessed to have free healthcare. Even with my government not giving the funding it needs it still gives treatment when it’s needed.

Oh my goodness! I've had neuropathy in my feet since I was in my 30s. I didn't know that a long surgery could cause neuropathy!!! I had a 9 hour surgery when i was 32 years old!!! Thank you!

Dr. J, I got tearful watching you care for this gentleman. You are a blessing, and balm for those who are in need. It's difficult getting through the maze of our healthcare system.. then add multiple diagnoses, aging, differences in insurances and it becomes next to impossible for a person to get the best care. your care reminds me of my nursing days in Texas in 1992 when I did all the diabetic feet each month in the nursing home where I worked. I always enjoyed caring for my patients and making sure their feet was clean, and nails were trimmed. You do an excellent job.

This is looking like a great result for this patient, i had a liver transplant eleven years ago and developed neuropathy as well, and it’s been a constant battle to keep my feet and legs from getting this bad. Your care and support Dr for this patient is very admirable. When you finished with his feet they looked exactly like mine, with the toes fused at the joints, it’s very uncomfortable.

My liver transplant was over 14 hours! It’s an extremely long surgery! Luckily my toenails are fine. They grow weird now, but I’m very blessed not to have any toenail or foot problems. Had my transplant 25 years ago!
