Best Cadets show of all time, hands down. Perhaps my favorite show of all time.

Squee36 nah, 2000 has to be thrown in that argument, equally as impressive

Agree completely. This is the show I go to when I try to explain to non drum corps folks what a show can be. Excellent, and understandable, show design, fantastic drill and execution, crisp/clean horn book and sound, complimentary guard that helps advance the show theme, and a kick-ass percussion section (both pit and battery).

RIP. Sex, money, lawyers and insurance companies...and the actions of truly rotten individuals within the organization. A real shame.

This magnificent show, underneath it all, is a commentary on the duality of the human experience--darkness, light, ignorance, omniscience. Cold can't exist without heat as a counterpoint. Evil cannot exist without good as a counterpoint. Eventually, at the end, both co-exist to create the spectrum. The humanity in this show soars, maintaining its simplicity. Breathtaking.

evil exists for itself.

this show doesn't get talked about enough. It's honestly one of my favorites. The drill in the final minute alone is just phenomenal.

where at?
@velocity_23144 жыл бұрын
everyone says something like this, and i find it hard to believe. drum majors do have a deep understanding of music, but what are the chances they can be your band director? im doubtful whenever i see these kinds of comments
@rhett_s4 жыл бұрын
Logic Velocity his name is Ben Pouncey, and he’s the director of Ashley Ridge High School. Look it up.
@mikec55633 жыл бұрын
@@velocity_2314 you’re skeptical that a young person who dedicated a massive amount of time to performing with a drum corps might become a band director years later? Why?
@velocity_23143 жыл бұрын
@@mikec5563 i'm not doubting that they will, they're incredible at music. it's just that a lot of people say this, you can probably find a few of these comments on every dci video. i'm doubting that they actually have a dci drum major band director, not that the drum major wouldn't be a band director

What place did they get in visual?
@ghostmachine24110 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure where my score sheets are (they gave all the members a copy) but we won feet; I can't remember if we won box visual. Some of the forms weren't as tight as they could have been. Feet were immaculate though.

I remember Cadets did win feet, but despite being the most competitive season in years, BD managed to win overall visual (thanks to guard and ensemble). Still a tough year but this win was well deserved.
