Watt's "Let's move on" which, in my head, was getting Fran to shut up. Fran, with respect, dude, but you've some questionable takes sometimes. For as long you've been seemingly playing live service games, I don't know why the standard of items in the store looking better than what is earned pisses you off. If those items didn't, they wouldn't sell. I get it: would be nice if that stuff was earnable in-game, but that game needs sources of revenue to fund itself, which you acknowledged, to be fair. We need to call that new espionage game Kojima is collaborating with Sony what it is: A dick-punch to Konami. Glad you three are among the few that are giving Suicide Squad a fair shake as opposed to the plethora of creators just writing it off. One thing I am surprised about that many are overlooking is that the live service approach of this game is among the most player friendly: It's more content-driven than engagement-driven. Could it be DCP is so used to the the latter that they don't recognize the content-driven aspect of SS? Sure, the current asking price is a bit steep, BUT every subsequent content added to the game will be free. Also, for those who want to play offline, that mode will be added later. Sony is approaching the live service model: Helldivers and Foam Stars will be their first official foray. Be prepared to see live service become more of a thing because given inflation and the cost of development going up, video game companies are looking for that revenue stream.

I don't get how Joe would just say "Yea I'm done w/ D2" even before Final Shape is out and decide to walk away, knowing the reaction it would generate, and also not looking good on his part. It's def Sony looking at the pre-order sales numbers, how lightfall was received and everything else, and gave him the option to walk away to explore employment elsewhere, rather than out right firing him.

I think it’s because his leave was based off of the original release date of February.
