In this video we begin to go through the rare and unique language that is A-10. With all of the switch terminology it's easy to get confused and lost, we are breaking down the coolie switch, what it is and what it does in the A-10C.

Coolie switch short Down puts the HMCS into SOI>

How do you setup ‘short’ vs ‘long’ using DCS Controls setup screen???

There is no difference in the bind, short is just a press of the button, long is you press and hold the button down essentially

I just use the default one that comes with the A-10 native to DCS. Whatever keybinds DCS gives it is what I use for the A10C

Has DCS updated this? I can't seem to cycle left and right SOI with coolie long.

Not sure on this one mate, I haven’t flown the hog or DCS for that matter in a couple of months with Xmas and holidays so hopefully it’s sorted now for you with a hotfix in a patch 🙏🏻
