It is interesting the back seat F2P or P2P discussion. In one way for trainers it would make perfect sense to be F2P for the reasons you mentioned. But thinking about other 2-seat planes like the F-14, F-4, MiG-31, etc How would you do it? Did the copilot utilize other systems besides the radar? Could they pilot the plane? Imho having to buy the full module to utilise a position that is only a little part of the whole doesn't sound that great. Now if the back seat pilot could both fly the plane and operate it's own systems I would be more in accordance with a P2P model, and this will depend on the plane. I agree with you, back seat should be F2P at least for the trainers, and maybe even so in 'greater' planes like the F-14, attack helicopters, etc if the second player is only to operate a limited amount of systems from the total module.

Imaginary asymetric dogfight: L-39 vs Su-25 Who would win? (I'd take the Su-25 but I'd like some opinions on the matter)

Depents on the pilot, weapons and situation i would say. Comparing the Su-25 (not the T) and L-39ZA both clean, the L-39 turns better, the Su-25 is faster and has a better thrust to weight ratio. In a traditional guns only fight i would but my money on the Su-25, if the pilot knows how to use his speed / thurst to weight advantage. If the Su-25 just turns, it will lose. If both have R-60Ms the better turning L-39 might do better.

Last war we know that these to planes fought each other Su25 lost against L39 but that is just too subjective to many thinks.

I'd wish more servers and people would fly mig 15 vs sabre.It is such a balanced matchup and sad that people don't fly them enough

That's because of the shitty airplane spotting in WVR dogfights.....it's all ED's fault....people want to fly them against each other but it's impossible without using labels!

I use a Saitek X-52 at the moment. As for first plane, well what do you like? I love the Mig-21bis and F-5E because i find planes from that time the most fun, you get tech like radar and missiles to play with, but its not as dominant than on later planes.

hmm i'm not sure. I do like olden aircraft but don't have much knowledge on military jets, more commercial. I can say that I much prefer the western aircraft, the Tiger seems like a safe bet to me. Its either that or the L-39, which in fact asks another question: do you know of any main differences between the 39 and the Hawk?

+Jonfrederick Lilley I can't recommend the Hawk - it's very rough still and the updates are far and few between. Only module in DCS that I've had this experience. I have most of the DCS modules and can definitely recommend the F5. The F5 and mig21 are amazing, but if you want a high fidelity sim with complex systems give the A10c a look. Can't tell ya how many hours I've spent in that one haha

Alright, Looks like the F5 will be my first, then the A-10. Here's for many hour to come when I could be looking for a women! To be honest i find this more fun (is that sad?) lol Thanks for the help!

It's a shame that the Estonian air force has only 2 l-39 ( and other transport aircraft ), wich are not even allowed to carry weapons.

A X-52 at the moment. And mouse and Keyboard for extra switches and button pressing of course.

More like i used the 3d pro until a few month ago. I might get crosswind pedals in the future for helicopters though.
