This guide has been invaluable to me as I attempt this campaign and I've learned so many useful tricks with viper from it. There's a lot of KZbin channels that do a tutorial on one subject, but few that show how it all comes together in a mission like this.

43:42 that "uuuu Oh yeah" was intense, now just smoke a cigarette Much love Brother i was 17 years (ago) in the portuguese airforce with the F16´s block 42 ground crew as well for 6 years, all the Electric parts were my job to inspect and maintain, was very neat knowing that you worked with the 16´s too. I follow your channel for specific guides and now i understand why your channel was one of my Fav guide channels, cheers Bogey

Only 95/100, but I‘m happy 😅 It only took five attemps 🤣 Waiting for Misssion 8, great job again, Bogey 👍

Hi Bogey, really like your videos! I was wondering if at 33:10 you where trying to lock the SA-6 but since the TGP was in manual and not auto did not do the handover to the WPN (maverick) even though this last one was on PRE. Wondering if that was the reason you couldn’t lock it and end up using the WPN page directly. Cheers from Sweden!

At 33:10, I had not yet boresighted the Mavericks. I was attempting to line both up so I could boresight the Maverick. Once I have the TGP and the Maverick locked on the same target, then I click BSGT to boresight the maverick to the TGP and then I can use the auto handoff function on the next one (Though I didn't in this video because I've had better luck finding targets with the TGP and then narrowing it down with the maverick seeker). I know I can do BSGT on the ground, but I have had better luck with it in the air. Usually I do it on the way to the target area against a house or truck or something.

And I just learned something new. I didn’t know you had to align/boresight mavericks to the tgp. You mentioned that in the beginning of the video if I recall correctly. Thanks for the answer!

Thank you for these, as a n00bit int he Viper these are really helpful 👍 Btw, did you change your reshade? Still using the the old one you did a video about ages ago, looks great (hint hint)

Can you turn the ingame subtitles back on again? Sometimes I find it hard to understand Sentinel or Vacuum, and the subtitles really help. Great content by the way! Really enjoying the series!

I had to turn it off for cinematics. I'll try and remember to turn it back on.

Hey Bogey Dope, Mission 8, when we can expect them? 😁😉
@steveknight25407 ай бұрын
Hey mate, apologies if this has been mentioned before, but it seems like you have quite a few pages in your kneeboard. Are these all from the campaign files, or is there somewhere else I can get hold of these? Looks like you have quite a few checklists and other info there? I have only just recently downloaded the campaign, thanks.
@BogeyDope7 ай бұрын
Yeah the first few are from private groups I fly with or custom ones I've downloaded. The campaign ones are the ones I get to in the end.

So, missions 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 when? I really would like to see your approach to the second part of mission 9. 👍

The one sam launcher that survived the bombing run from you plane. Did have explosions popping all over it has to be damaged?
@BogeyDope5 ай бұрын
Which are you referring to? I would need a timestamp. I dropped a couple bombs in this mission on launchers.

@BogeyDope5 ай бұрын
@@kevinkocher9347 I'm assuming you are referring to the launcher at the top right of the formation. Keep in mind, DCS does not represent exactly realistic representations of what some weapons are capable of in real life(CBU's in this case). Additionally, DCS is currently still working on "splash damage" model for all units in the sim. So sometimes, you can drop a MK-84 and it lands very close in proximity to a unit, and it remains untouched. We hope to have splash damage fairly accurately modeled in the future.
@kevinkocher93475 ай бұрын
@@BogeyDope that is the sam I was talking about thank you for replying to me and yes i have seen that some campaigns have splash and frag damage and some don't in dcs. But yes I didn't know this one didn't. But in reality that sam would be blind and inoperable from that strike I do believe the systems would be shock to pieces and covered in fragments

Since last update, CTD every time I try to fly any mission on this epic campaign 😢. First 5 sec ok then all freeze and this little blue windows appears telling me dcs crash. I tried the DCs repair, also remove and download the entire campaign again but didn't work for me.

What GPU are you using? Your cockpit is so much easier to read than mine.

@BogeyDope Thanks for the response. I went back in your videos and found the Reshade videos. That was the ticket. DCS looks amazing now. Thanks, Brother.

He doesn't really explain why he doesn't need to set the barometric altimeter to field pressure before take-off. In the F-16 and other modern jets, you have a radar altimeter which allows you to see your AGL (Above Ground Level) altitude very accurately without resetting to the runway setting. That means you can leave your Barometric Altimeter at QNH which should give you MSL altitude.
