Thanks so much for doing this! I had a blast with this campaign and watching your tutorials as I was progressing it was great. Sometimes I even watched them after doing the mission to understand I was doing the right thing. Hope you're doing The Gamblers too!!

Shame the TrackIR died*, but it was a blast watching this series. Brilliantly flown, edited, and tutorialised. * Okay not died as such, but I preferred the 1st person view to the dodgy pilot model. Was easier to keep track of stuff.

Hey Bogey, I seem to have a serious problem running this mission on my PC. My PC specs are similar to you, except for my graphics card which is a RTX4070Ti and I have an Intel Core i5 13400F 16 core and 32GB RAM as well. The game shudders to a halt in the middle of this mission shortly after taking out the SA-10 in the AO down to 7 or less FPS. I have been able to play all other missions in this campaign with no problem, and when flying around other areas of DCS, including the new Afghanistan map are fine. I start this mission on +150 FPS, and then it just drops off. I have checked my CPU and Graphics card and they are not getting hot, so there is no throttling going on. I know that many people do use 64GB of RAM, but you have 32GB and on DCS mostly even recommends 16GB, or 32GB for heavy missions, so 32GB should be fine. Please help, or should I contact Ground Pounder direct?

Hello. Sorry for the late reply. I'm not sure why you are seeing this behavior on your PC specs. You should be able to run it without much issue at all. Unfortunately, I would have to see DCS logs and look at your system performance during these events. I have multiple screens, so whenever I've had issues like this, I've pulled up performance monitor on a second screen, and when it started to stutter, I would look at my performance monitor and notice what was happening. In my case (Many years ago) my hard drive (at the time was a disc drive) was bottlenecking everything. It was evident by the graph showing it at 100% the entire time the stuttering was happening, and everything else, RAM, CPU, GPU, were at something like 15% use. So I went and got a SSD. I would recommend watching your performance monitor to see if you have a bottle neck like that. If you see something spiking at 100% when you see the stutters, then that is probably your bottleneck. There are other factors that can contribute to this, but it's something that I can't quite help with, without being there with you. You can also reach out to Eagle Dynamics in their Discord under the help room and get some assistance there with DCS logging. Hope this helps.

The stutter issues in these missions is usually due to a lot of AI activities, as the SAM sites get spawned, missiles, bombs, and AAA get launched. Try recording a HWinfo session and watch the CPU and GPU wait figures. I'm quite confident that you'll see your GPU wait go up to 160ms or so (10 fps divided by 60 seconds). You should also see one of your CPU cores at near 100% usage during most of the session, or at least anytime that is CPU limited. Even with a 7950X3D with DCS pinned to the vcache cores, I am nearly always CPU limited when in busy missions. @steveknight2540

Your audio seems to be a bit off. It constantly snaps from very loud, to quiet, to very quiet, to very loud, to very quiet. Thanks for the video, though!
