Actually, I just found your channel because I've had the viggen for a while and was trying to get back into learning it. So I kinda need to learn everything. The RB04 is the easiest to use along with the mavericks. Everything else seems like kind of a pain to employ, so if you could show any ways to make that easier, that would be cool

I know this isn't right but I fire them single, about 5-10 seconds between because the missiles you fired exploded too close to each other, that means the ship only took half damage or so. The reason is because DCS is a game. If you want to destroy the one unit or even have two targets close you can fire in single and if the first missile kills the first ship, then the second will switch target and hit the one behind the first target. Don't know if this is right IRL but the way DCS works it seems that way.

It's out an option- and I guess you could use it to kill two more lightly defended ships. My big issue is having to make a defensive break with one of those in your wing. The drag and weight asymmetry can be a problem.

True, I fire at the maximum range and the 5-10 seconds can be anticipated by the right missile dropping first and trimming to correct. I understand that the Rb-04E is a heavy thing and it will kill you if you're not ready for the change in wing weight. My point is that firing at a single target with the missiles dropping from both pylons are a sad limitation of DCS's explosive damage model and a missile which has a directed explosive cone still destroys the second missile behind it is not optimal. No idea if it works like that in real life but I doubt it.

@@valhallaab8399 I did some testing and actually the asymetrical loading is actually fairly manageable if you account for it.
