ED has handled it in the worst way imaginable, and why Razbam broke the IP conditions of their contract in the first place is anyone's guess. I'm still very angry with both of them, a worse fuckup is difficult to imagine. How can DCS have a future with such business practices?

Even after all the other kick ass high fi modules I have, I still find myself in the Frogfoot. Simple and easy. Compared to the A10C II it's about as opposite as you can get. Wide range of weapons and abilities. Like the F-5 Tiger II, it was fine as it was and ED went and upgraded it anyways to freshen it up. I will NEVER complain about that, especially if it's free.

@@robadzso I found that I like the modules most that have some early guided weapons and bombing aids. F-4, MiG-21... There isn't much of a challenge in Identifying a target 65 nm out with a targeting pod and dropping GPS guided glide bombs.

Well, this says that Razbam is gone, so just a matter of time until updates break their modules for us. Not a penny more of my money to ED for allowing this to happen. That said, SU25 update is very welcome.

I don't think its right to completely blame ED for this issue. Razbam definitely had a lot to do with this dispute and how its turning out. ED has always and continuously supported their personal development teams products and other module developers seem to continue working with ED. This is an isolated issue otherwise we'd be seeing this with multiple other module developers.

Where did you heard about the Mig-23 being abandoned? I didn't find anything in Razbam's discord...and i dont think its a good thing. I'm truly worried for the F-15E, Harrier, Mirage 2000 and the other modules from Razbam...

Brother rasbam is dead. I don't know why we are sitting up here. Pretending like they are about to make a comeback.They're not the most you can hope for is that they give e d the source code so that they might be able to maintain the modules that are already in game that's It's been eight and a half months, and little to nothing has changed

I still hold out hope that this situation will be resolved. None of the parties are interested in abandoning them. To the contrary. With all the investment already, it would make a lot more sense to revive-maintain them sooner than later.

It is great we have free modules. It is interesting to see if ED will develop an aircraft or a version that is better suited for virtual pilots with various disabilities. There was some discussion about such an option last year.

I'm looking forward to it, along with the F-15C, MiG-29A and the F-100. Current stable is really good for me, I don't need to own every module - just the Mirages, F-16C, FC4, Spitfire (for spiritual joy), and the choice freebies of the A-4, OV-10, SK-60 and T-45 Goshawk. Over time, will get the F-15E, and F-4E

I'd hold on the F-15E. To see how the situation with Razbam goes. The Mig-23 being abandoned it's a big red flag, since it was their flagship development module.

@@marcosechi8820 I am holding - and hating every moment. I have well over 1000 hours on Janes F-15, and was looking forward to making a custom menu using the previous sim's music and graphics, all the keybinds that I have on muscle memory for the systems, and just jumping right in....

ED's FC 3 and FC 2004 do offer players a lot, all at a great price. Personally, I couldn't get on with these aircraft as I Never had a joystick with enough button to map the FC actions too. Heavily reliying on remembering all the keyboad commands. That's why I'd love to see the Migs and Frogger as full fidelity modules, so I can look down to drop the gear or set arm switch with remember short cuts or keyboard press.

Glad to see they're up dating the Su-25, but, I wish they would add more Red side aircraft, seems to me like, for every 1 Red side aircraft, they add 3 or 4 Blue side aircraft, example, they announced the full fidelity Mig-29A, and then they announce the full fidelity F-15C, F-35, F-4U, and F-6F. Come on, how about the Mig-23, Mig-25, and Mig-27, how about the Sukhois Su-7, Su-9, Su-11, Su-15, Su-17/Su-20/Su-22, and Su-24, or some Chinese aircraft like the Chengdu J-7, Shenyang J-8, Chengdu J-10, and the Shenyang J-16.

su 25 looks like a snack for the stinger missiles, but for newer players that don't have time to learn it will be good

Not if you fly treetop level and pop up just occasionally. Also has about a million flares ready to dispense.

@@robadzso true, and that would work if you only have a couple targets to deal with; with the su 25t they always give you like 12 leopard tanks to deal with, unguided weapons and flares would run out; if they lower the bar for the non T version that would work great.

Redfor already has plenty of low fidelity planes IMHO. They have more low fidelity planes than the US does in Flaming Cliffs. What they really lack is full fidelity planes. I'd like to see the US get a free plane with weapons, currently the US has no free planes in the game except an unarmed P-51. Perhaps an A-7 would be good for a free US plane. Both the A-7 and SU-25(s) are subsonic aircraft. The free A-4E community mod is cool and all, but it's not integrated into the game, so may not be available on some servers, especially "vanilla" servers.

Good move on ED for making this free, though they still need to revise "splash damage," suppression mechanics, and infrastructure targets due to the Frogfoot's limited weapons set. New users may have an unrealistic expectation of taking out tanks with rocket barrages, dumb bombs, and large laser-guided rockets without any kind of thermal or magnified targeting system, and that simply won't work with the current state of the game's mechanics. Making the A-10A a free module would have been a smarter move from a marketing perspective.

So; we have a "free" Su-25t, and a lot of customers have a very low cost Su-25A, now they've created a "better" FC3 2024 group with a couple of planes added, so what exactly is the point, these are all modules they don't have to spend much money on if at all, to put out there. There is so much they can improve upon, yet, where are they going with this? Hardly anywhere it seems.

What would it take to make it full-fidelity? Aircraft was in service in 40 countries! All data is there. Navigation is functional. Just some logic, failures and more realistic aiming complex (now it's half-arcade).

@@Pricklyhedgehog72 Emphasis on the ~, as it's always PIC discretion. It's common practice in at least GA to offset from the line in order to avoid nose gear oleo stress/annoying noise when bumping over the inset guidance lights that are sitting proud (though not applicable in this case).

all this is nicely said, but unimportant in the existing planes because there has been American propaganda and lobbying in this game for a long time and that's why there are no new missiles on Russian planes that are the same year as the American models, they demand from the developers of Russian planes to deny the dominance that they have in the real world and that's why they don't introduce new missiles and new Russian aircraft such as mig-23, su-30 sm, mk not to mention the 2nd world war which doesn't have yak-3 or yak-9 and this game is losing players and buyers of modules and maps, there is a secret association in Europe about 100 of us who don't buy a single map and not a single American aircraft except those they have in FC3, UNTIL IT IS CORRECTED IN THE GAME SO IT WILL BE, dcs loses a lot of money because of that and loses players who switch to a new game that exists on the market

Here's what's really pissing me off.First of all, at this point, I'm not even pretending like rasbam exists anymore. They've pretty much made their exit. And I don't know why anybody's still checking in on them like they're actually coming back, it's been 8 months, let's be realistic. The most we can hope for is that they end up giving e d the thing that they asked for in the very beginning, which is the source code to their aircraft, so they can maintain them, even if razbam were to split, which is like what's happening right now on top of that number 2, I'm really f***** p***** at the current state of D. C. S in terms of gross imbalance in playable, aircraft for both red and blue coalitions, blue coalition has over fifteen full fidelity modules ranging from the korean war to modern day red coalition has 7, 3 of which are helicopters. This makes for a super f****** bland multiplayer experience. Don't get me wrong. I love flying around in my s. U25 as much as the next person but like I want to click the f****** buttons. That's why I end up back in the tom cat or in the harrier at the end of the play session.Because I like clicking the f****** buttons cuz, that's the point ed's realized this, of course, and at least they're starting to course correct. But they better f****** reel that wheel over and course correct real f***** quick because a lot of the community shares my sentiment. Unfortunately, that there is just very little variety in scenario type with the limited form of aircraft that we have in dcs that are player playable, and actually Fun to continuously play because the flaming cliff's stuff is cool. But only for like 30 minutes and then I wanna go back into my F18, my F14 or literally any full Fidelity module. The su 25 is the one exception, and it's the only exception because it's really the only right Brown strike. Aircraft that the red coalition possesses, which means it should get a full Fidelity, pass even sooner

Getting an updated model is to everyone’s benefit. The money you spend on it gave you access to it when it wasn’t free, you will still have access to it when it’s free AKA you lost nothing.
