Releasing with so few skins was a mistake. Since the upgrade was just cosmetic, there should have be lots of skins included in the price.

So I'm still confused on the liveries. I bought the new f-5..also had the old one. Old one had a crap ton of liveries, but the new one only came with bare aluminum and grey? Am I missing somthing? Am I supposed to transfer all my old liveries to the new module?

Afghanistan "not massive compared to some of the other countries" - If you meant in DCS, you are quite wrong :P If they make the whole country it is going to be _the_ largest map in DCS. By far. Afghanistan is quite large.

A lot of people who buy only a part of the maps will probably end up, in the long run, getting the whole thing.

How do we know if you haven't embedded "buy pimax" sign into the green flashes? ;) Iraq does look good, but for a single casual player all these aircraft and maps need far more missions and campaigns, and not for the F-18.

Prickly, i want to thank you. I received my Pimax crystal light on Tuesday of this week. It took me 2 days to get it set up properly. But this was mainly my fault. At first, i was disappointed. Then i realized reshade wasn't working in the headset. Once i fixed that, i was and still can't believe it. I now understand what people mean when they say they get lost in the game. DCS in VR is something completely different.

Best mountains on any of the DCS to date and it's a new benchmark for early access. Afghanistan will really benefit from the new tech developed for Iraq.

ok, you sold me on getting this map! I really hope we get some decent campaigns and missions as feel this is really letting DCS down with helo's like ah64 etc.

I mostly clicked on your video because you parodied a title of an obscure Pink Floyd song haha.. I bought the full version because I want to fly some Gulf War missions with the F-15E, and do some Southern Watch scenarios. I see a lot of complaints on the Facebook pages of it being just another desert map. But it's a lot more than that. I think the mission creators will have a field this one. From the Iran-Iraq War all the way to the War on Terror, and everything in between.

I just picked up the Iraq map but I have one concern. There was no mention of cities or airfields in Iran. I was hoping to do some Iran Iraq war missions but if there are no Iranian airfields it's going to be impossible.

Apologies for the green flashes in the intro and outro of this video. This seems to be a bug with Vegas Pro, which I haven't found a work around for. Despite removing it in editing, or doing my best to, it popped up in post rendering, rather annoyingly.

To be honest im not sure about it now. Ordered ny headset 29th November and today is 13th December. Bever heared from them anything since.pimax discord full of ppl like me and waiting much longer times. Support team answering some random answer to this not being honest whats going on. Many ppl allready canceled their orders due to this. Thats in UK then ticket been raised by many of us asking questions and abswers was that HMD safely arrived to UK werehouse and being prepeired to be sent off thats been a week ago now. So be carefull as for me looks like something went wrong and still waiting

I wasn't planning on getting the F-5 upgrade, but with Miles, I was able to get it for under $5, and that changed my mind.. I'm ok with that. The iced coffee I bought the other day cost more than that. As for the new visuals, it's so pretty on KZbin videos, but I'm not sure how much of a game changer it is for me in VR with a Quest 3 and 4070.

The new updates in the graphics are epic and well worth the wait. Negativity from areas of the community are often ridiculous- people winging about lack of module updates, some winging about too many modules, those winging about I wont pay for this! Perhaps DCS can become a charity and provide continued entertainment for free. On wait a moment it will go out of business! Seriously people. And lets just end my monologue by reiterating that the latest update was provided by ED yet again for free. Cheers

I gotta say this update has been quite nice. I still don't think DCS's weather can even hold a candle to MSFS's but we can at least create a believable snapshot of a weather pattern now. Fog, I find, accumulates at the bottom of rain columns which is realistic. Also tends to scale to temperature, time of day. It doesn't immediately stand out when you first load the game so it won't blow you away on the spot, but it helps a lot to tie everything together and create a much more cohesive image/world. It's a step in the right direction and I really want to see ED continue work on these types of things. The sim is already fantastic in the cockpit but the world in DCS World is the weakest link right now. So updates like this that address that problem, I'm all for.

I can’t get it. They added a HUGE feature to the main game which is FREE. And they upgraded the f5 for 10 bucks. Wtf people, honestly, a price of a fuckin pizza and all the people just complaining and whining like bitches. If you don’t have 10 bucks for your favourite hobby, let it go and try to find something that even cheaper. (It will be a hard one, just saying). People with computers of a very minimal worth of 400 usd can’t afford a 10 $ update. Really? Just gfx? Yes, for now. But don’t forget they fixed many issues meanwhile and they mentioned further upgrades for the updated module like laser guided weapons and such cool stuff. I am absolutely not a rich guy, woked my azz off for a decent system to be able to flight in vr (with my old rift s)and the fps compared to 2.7 or 2.8 version is skyrocketed. All of this because they spent zillions of man hour to re write the core module (which is free, you don’t pay for that work and believe me, it was an expensive task for ED). So why don’t you just fly insted of criticising ANY movement of ED. Poor guys really can’t do anything without getting tons of idiotic comments and critics. I have a feeling the shitload of negative comments will push them to change to subscription, which will be 10x more expensive.

I would like to see the Huey as included in the DCS World free download along with the SU-25 and T-51. DCS has a good stable of rotary aircraft with more on the way (I think). I am impressed with the Pimax VR video, looks great. I do believe a lot of these improvements stem from their work on the Dynamic Campaign which has forced them to improve everything in order to produce the Dynamic campaign. This work is why it's taking so long.

Fast, Cheap & Good. Pick whichever two of the three that you want, virtual pilots. No amount of complaining will ever change that dynamic.

Agree with everything. I’m happy to pay $10 for a module upgrade if it’s been out of EA for years. The alternative would be to have sown sort of subscription system. That I would not be pleased about, I’ve been disentangling myself from the subscription grift all over the place. For example, I’ve dropped Creative Cloud except for Acrobat and when I’ve moved my files from their cloud and found a replacement I’ll drop that as well. I’ve found alternatives for everything I used in Creative Cloud. It’s been a little bit painful, having to relearn key commands but less painful than the upward trajectory on Adobe’s monthly prices. And much of their software, including Acrobat, is ridiculously flaky and installs a shedload of crap I needed to terminate whenever I loaded DCS. Anyway, I’m happy with the F-5E situation. On another topic, is DCS really a franchise? Who is the franchisee?

Dcs is getting better with every update and this one is amazing. They are doing a great job so we can enjoy the results. Nice video and beautiful views.

Most live service games have toxic commuinities, but DCS takes the crown so much that it is insufferable, especially on Reddit with mods like HC Official. I do hope ED will remain committed to their vision, because when they start to yield they will enter in a downward spiral.
