Hey there... Would mind sharing your STECS F-15E profile? Much appreciated!
@StrIIker-TV5 ай бұрын
Will do. I honestly don’t have much blind to it because I use PointCTRL for any cockpit native actions. Is there a simple way to export the profile? I assume to an image or something?
@captain_kirkyt24815 ай бұрын
@@StrIIker-TV you can download the file for your control profile Through the DCS "adjust controls"
@StrIIker-TV5 ай бұрын
@@captain_kirkyt2481 okay I will do that. I do also use several buttons for Voice Attack and SRS. I can get those identified as well to help out.

We can only view the video in 360p :(

Bleh! I thought it was finished processing. I just saw a message for the video that the processing is taking longer than usual. When I last looked, there was about 20 minutes left so an hour later I set it to public. I didn't notice that it was still working on it. Well, give it a bit and check later.

Hey Strikes brother. Just wondering mate, I saw a vid you did quite a while back & asking if you were using two Cams & what software you were using?
@StrIIker-TV5 ай бұрын
Hi! Some times I will do the Picture in Picture type of video where I set up my iPhone on a tripod to capture how I fly with the PointCTRL finger controllers in my simpit. The audio recording on the iPhone can be synchronized with the audio from my microphone on my headset via a snap of my fingers (I usually snap twice and cough). I find this sound on both recordings and mark it in my editing software. I can then use it to synchronize using audio and the mark point as the start and it then adjusts the two using the rest of my talking and noises etc. It then generates a synchronized clip with both recordings on it. I can then resize and position one of them to achieve the effect. I also use 6 audio tracks in my video recording of DCS using virtual audio cables (I made a video demonstrating how I make DCS videos where I show this) for stuff like game, voice attack, SRS headset mic, etc. For video editing software, I use Final Cut Pro which is a Mac only program from Apple.

@@StrIIker-TV Thanks Strikes🙏Watching it now actually. I'm interested in your video section. I just bought a nice Emeet 4K cam & was so impressed with the quality & value for money I got another one. Beautiful images, crisp & clear but now the hard part is to try & get one to record throttle & stick & my set up & one capturing myself flying as well. I tried SplitCam which gives a great image but soon as I start flying the image slows & suffers. Trying to record DCS in sim footage & both 4K cams working simultaneously is tricker than I thought. Never used OBS before, so I'm studying that now. Been using Ge Force all these years but the 4K quality cam is wasted in the Shadow Play overlay, doesn't cut it. Thanks again kindly Strikes, I'll keep watching.

@@GazAce I’m glad to be able to help! What might be key is to record the cam footage to a separate device, either local to the camera (if storage is available) or to a separate PC and then you need software which supports multi-cam editing. You could easily sync them up manually and then resize the top video to a window over the bottom video. I add translucency as a personal taste. I had tried the nvidia capture but eventually went with OBS as it offered a lot more choices and flexibility. Keep me posted! I’d love to see what you wind up with.

When your entering on Scratchpad, are you using pointctrl or your roller mouse?
@StrIIker-TV5 ай бұрын
I use a trackball which I have strapped to my right thigh. PointCTRL is fine for in the cockpit but maps and interacting with menus etc it’s not so good.

@@StrIIker-TV Great video, I enjoyed it. I meant trackball, I have the razer Tartarus Pro on left thigh and a Wacom tablet for Open Kneeboard on the right. I'm using the Wacom tablet to learn by using videos in VR. Later I may change to a trackball though I like the 12 buttons I have on my Razer Naga Pro. It would have been so much better if Razer had put in a trackball instead of a D-Pad on the Tartarus.

@@MaddogMike-444 Thanks! Why do you need the tablet for videos? I use open kneeboard as well. I use buttons on the Razer Tartarus to change to different tabs and pages. I was going to use the Tablet (I have one) but wound up not really using it. The Tartarus with a trackball! Wow that you have been amazing!

@StrIIker-TV I'm using the pen on the tablet to control video playback since a mouse is not supported.
