DCS VR | F/A-18C | 4YA Persian Gulf | Pounding it in the Gulf

I'm in the GoO (Gulf of Oman) on the carrier and it's time to visit a nearby enemy airbase which has been harassing the fleet operations on the 4YA server. I'll pay a quick visit with a load of 8 x JSOW's and provide CAP to a friendly Harrier.
A second visit is made with 4 x 500lb JDAM's and 5 x AMRAAM's to finish the job.

Are you playing multiplayer or is this a mission you bought?

Hi! I am flying on the 4YA Persian Gulf server which is multiplayer. The other friendly aircraft you saw were piloted by real people. The enemy aircraft are all AI controlled. This is a Player vs Environment (PvE) server so there's no fighting against other people. I prefer the PvE servers as I really like to focus on attacking the ground targets and can mix it up now and then with AI fighters. If you have been reluctant to try multiplayer (I obviously don't know) you should consider trying it out on the 4YA servers. I am working on a video around getting started on multiplayer PvE servers because I know a lot of people avoid it and I know why (I felt the same way). I honestly can't go back to standalone now (mainly the annoying AI eingman constantly calling things out on the radio!).

Thanks! I just like listening to the other players talking in the background, adds to the realism. Do you guys ever have someone in an AWACS calling things out, or is it just other players in fighters talking all the time?

@@btiller44Yeah I LOVE it when there's a lot of background chatter by the players. Generally players will call out what they are attacking or if they need help. Thankfully the 4YA servers generally have some regulars who do this as it makes the server more alive. There are a couple other recent videos I posted with very talkative players. Occasionally there is someone who takes on the roll of AWACS type stuff and vectors you towards or away from enemy aircraft. It can be a lot of fun. Additionally, some of the static sounding stuff which is low volume and difficult to make out is something from Vaicom Pro (an add-on for Voice Attack) called 'chatter' which adds in some radio coms in the background to make things feel more alive. I like to have it on while flying.
