One thing I would love to learn is what I would call, for lack of a better term, the "visual workflow" during AIM-7/ -120 employment. There's a firehose of info coming out of the HUD and FCR MFD, and I would love to learn the steps/ timeline a pilot follows when closing in on the best MRM shot. What is the pilot spreading his attention on prior to, during, and after launch.

Great video! But I'm a little confused... if DCS doesn't model A-pole and M-pole @3:32, then what does that symbology under the range scale mean (A vs T)? Is there basically no difference, and the avionics is 'faking' what actually should be happening with the missile, if it was modeled correctly?

"A" is Husky (HPRF - Missile Radar mode that more sensitive to high aspect fast targets) and "M" is (MPRF Missile Radar Mode that is used for tracking all aspect targets) Pitbull. In BMS there is A for Husky, M for Pitbull, and T for time to impact DCS does not have the M countdown. Technically MPRF is implemented but HPRF is not in DCS. This is based on after A the countdown it changes the T countdown. Check out this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/amm0nXZ-aLCUaJY Thanks for watching and asking a great question.

@@AviationPlus Does it mean that beaming a Husky missile (HPRF for high aspect) will give you more chance to evade it, than if the missile wasMPRF(all aspect)?
